The way I see it is similar to medicine development when discovering new therapies for different diseases.

Phase 1 involves 20-100 healthy individuals using the medicine to see if it causes any negative outcomes.

Phase 2 involves around the same amount of people that have the disease seeing if they are effected by the medicine in a positive way.

Phase 3 increases the population size of phase 2.

Finally, phase 4 is the drug released to the public after its given an over 90% success rate (which our anticheat has exceeded). It's closely monitored and side effects are discovered and addressed. The majority of people that use the medication become healthy again :) phase 4 can last for years and it's the last stage before a product is officially released in hospitals, in pharmacies etc. The entire time, the medicine is actively being improved upon so that it can help more people and be more effective. Luckily for us, the anticheat doesn't deal with something as serious as disease, but it can be viewed very similarly. Also, there's much more room for discovery as we do allow everyone that has been effected by it to appeal their ban and be heard amongst the Sr. Staff.
Vanicle | Vanessa Will every person who gets banned by anti-cheat makes a ban dispute and gives a believable story Get unbanned. There is no way to tell if someone if being honest or not. The only evidence for their ban is the anti-cheat. There is no way to tell the difference between a false ban and a real ban. If people can get unbanned if they make a detailed and honest ban dispute then I dont see what is so great. I agree that this new anti-cheat is doing a lot of good but it could do some bad and you cant tell the differemce. A 7 day ban would be a fair punishment.

i don't think it's fair to state a "probability" because it doesn't really work like that. Just be honest with us, tell us everything you can about what happened. If you think your story would be better explained on TS or a forum message, feel free to do that but post a dispute first because we have to go through that process before we talk to each person individually about their bans. :)
I never really make disputes because explaining what happened on ts is always easier.

Braden, so in this video, is the anti-cheat 100% correct?
Wait, why was I tagged in this? I never claimed that the anti-cheat is 100% effective; I acknowledged it's faults.
The anticheat is not 100% accurate as everyone here knows. Users getting falsely banned for the anticheat is inevitable, but you need to consider something rather important when thinking about the anticheat's faults. Would you rather have 95 hackers banned and 5 non-hackers banned per 100 or rather not have it at all?
I have also talked with an Administrator to sort things out and see if we can come up with a way to allow innocent players to dispute it successfully.

Kinda makes me scared to play, I have a platinum account that I have used for quite a long time now on MCSG and why would I risk it getting banned just because I want to play some SG? Also, it doesn't seem too much like the staff are super-understanding with these problems, most of the people I know who tried to appeal about the no-cheat banning them simply received the response "The No-Cheat never messes up ever". I think it'd be best if the staff were a little bit more co-operative with the community here, as a response such as this and then locking a ban dispute thread is probably the most frustrating and least supportive thing a staff member can do. Just because a player is a staff member doesn't make them smarter, better, more mature, or more responsible than any other player and I can assure you if a moderator was banned while playing by the no-cheat they most definitely wouldn't get the response "the no-cheat never messes up ever" in their dispute.

An example of what I mean. Moderators seem far too confident in this anti-cheat. It's not the community that doesn't understand nobody's perfect, it's the staff team that is trying to tell us that their obviously glitchy anti-cheat is perfect.

Another example of a moderator being overly cocky about this clearly imperfect system of preventing cheaters. The community understands that nothing can be perfect, but the what the major problem is that it doesn't seem as though the moderators are responding appropriately to this.

Also, if you haven't noticed, neither of the statements make grammatically correct statements whatsoever. Just enforces my statement above describing moderators as being no better than normal members of the community.
Also, have you realized all the mods that say this are new mods, they are new to the server and being a moderator.

All good ideas and good points. I think temporary bans could be effective as well, just not quite as effective. the way our system works right now is that the few people that claim that they were banned unfairly are monitored, discussed amongst the Sr. Staff, and dealt with accordingly whether that's upholding or pardoning their punishment. The other far majority of players that are accurately banned by the anticheat never become a problem again. They aren't able to figure out based off the bans what hacks work and what hacks don't. If you've been playing on the server quite a lot, you'll realize that there's two types of anticheat bans. One lasts 60 seconds and the other lasts forever. The 60 second bans not only are less accurate, but they are quickly figured out. A player will realize that when they turn on a certain mod, they get temporarily banned. Therefore, they use every other mod to avoid the trigger.

Lol, you're not gonna get banned for saying that xD I only asked if you had seen where I said there was going to be improvements because it was in the post that you quoted :p
Ok, my bad I just must have missed it. I thought you where just doing that cause I wasn't being the nicest person. I just don't like to see something that ive been playing for so long and put a lot of money into go to this. Some of these guys are veterans like myself, back from 2012 and even if I wasn't really friends with them I don't like to see someone who has been here as long as me just be forced to quit. We good?

MythicalYT TheLichDB Vanicle | Vanessa

Alright, so I just got back. Obviously, to Lich and Mythical the program is not perfect as you said it was. Please do not make false statements about the anti-cheat. TheLichDB you also said: "The anti-cheat is never wrong" this is a direct quote from you. Please Vanessa teach the new mods how to react to this situation. I say this because both of the mods that said the anti-cheat is perfect are two new mods. So please teach them how to deal with the situation rather then them telling the players that they were cheating when they have no proof that they were even cheating or if the system is even right. They are blaming the players rather then informing the players that the system isn't perfect or that the anti-cheat is not 100% correct. Please inform them that the anti-cheat is not perfect. They are giving false information to the community. The information they are giving is creating flame and aggravation throughout many players.

Well here Lich says that "The anti-cheat is not wrong", when it obviously can be. He also says "No Hack, No Ban" when I was banned while NOT hacking. I also consider myself a decent player and the Lich says "If you are a good player why would you be banned?" well I was banned wasn't I?

It is said for me to see that he says senior moderators said nothing is wrong with the anti-cheat. When there obviously is issues.

Well, he says "They were hacking, without a doubt" So he is technically saying if you do get banned by anti-cheat you are definitely hacking. Well, I wasn't hacking and I got banned. So the anti-cheat is wrong sometimes.

Obviously some of the new mods are giving out incorrect information.

Please teach them how to deal with the situation.

I can definitely sense the devastation in your voice when it happened, like many other users have said; the AntiCheat is not 100% accurate and the Developers are working hard to fix it.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well I just posted my ban dispute. How long does it usually take for a mod to reply to the dispute? Some people have told me that it takes up to 2 weeks?

with medicine they use volunteers or animals, not civilians. You are testing it on civilians straight away.

Braden, so in this video, is the anti-cheat 100% correct?
The only reason you were banned was because at a tiny frame you technically opened the crafting table and then instantly hit the kid that was attacking you. Obviously that detection only relies on that thinking it was kill aura/forcefield, when it practically was luck and awareness.

One of the problems MCSG has had is it's inability is to define the difference between good players and hackers. I myself have gotten banned (which I don't care for anymore lmao), and now we have this happening again.
