Our Minecraft servers are offline but we will keep this forum online for any community communication. Site permissions for posting could change at a later date but will remain online.
Wut I said xDThis, and final.
MCSG is dying, but there is hope
tell me... what exactly do you do. Cause all I hear form mods nowadays is that they "have too much to do" and "you have no idea how hard it is." Well I find that that is a lie. Explain to me exactly what you doYou have no idea how much I do for this community
I do so much here you have noidea
thats a lieNO HACKER IS BANNED WITHOUT PROOF
Tell me then...I do so much here you have no idea
Also. This topic seems to be very subjective!
Mods (and blamph) vs Players
I wanna see one person who can give a really objective view on this
Thing is, Hive is still in development. Plus, it also doesn't specialize in only survival games, and at the moment it is only EU based. They're getting US servers very soon, and when they do so more people from our community will migrate to theirs. What I believe to be the issue is that the dedicated forum users and the legitimate players are shifting over. If they get AU based servers, and that are actually in Australia unlike MCSG's horrible Asian based servers, than the bulk of the AU players (which are quite a few) will move over there. Even the Hive US servers might serve as a better alternative over MCSG AU servers for us AU people. MCSG may be more dedicated to Survival Games than Hive, but I don't think that will matter when Hive has better quality (and less laggy) Survival games servers to play on over MCSG.You know, in all honesty.. MCSG is better than the Hive. But of course, that is my opinion, and not yours. The Hive is not as organized, their staff is very unloyal, and many of them are not trained to do what they are supposed to. I once had a moderator ask me why a person shouldn't be able to sprint while hitting a player. It is ridiculous.
In my opinion, sure, the Hive will get a good portion of our players, but don't forget our endless amounts of not well known players. You know, the kids who ask how to join a game, and then become number one. Of course we here at MCSG take the Hive to be a threat, they will not damage us as a community.
Who cares of you, no life legend.lol who cares of tevald?
I'd prefer it here still. c: And don't think too far ahead, absolutely anything can happen. Heck, I don't know a single community that has been up over a year that hasn't had an uprise in people believing the server is going down hill. Either way I don't see this lag people are getting when I play, the chest->inventory lag is absolutely gone, voting fixed and gameplay rebalanced - I think people are just focusing on the negatives...Thing is, Hive is still in development. I'd say it's due to the hierarchy among players on the servers that depend on how good they are. This will sound absurd, but if MCSG completely abolished the leader boards and the points system, it will reduce the amount of hackers, as people will be more equal, and how good you are won't matter as much, more it will be simply about having fun than something competitive. Problem is, so much work has been put into the leaderboard and point system, I highly doubt anyone would be willing to let go.NO but seriously, the hacking has gotten out of control, i face a hacker 1/2 games nowadays, 1/3 games gets MASSIVE lag so it's kind of hopeless.
There will still be around the same amount of hackers, just for the sake of it. Otherwise you wouldn't see people hacking on kit servers, servers without no goals or competition. They do need more moderators, or atleast more community contribution to combat hackers.I'd say it's due to the hierarchy among players on the servers that depend on how good they are. Having a larger amount of more dedicated mods would help too. I'm not saying there aren't any mods that help out enough, but if there could be more of these people, that would be great.
I'd say that many people hack so that they can have a good bounty and progress in the leaderboards. With this goal taken away, people may no longer see the pointThere will still be around the same amount of hackers, just for the sake of it.
