No lag, ever. It was amazing, there was hardly any server delay at all, it was just an all around great patch for MCSG and PvP.

Hello people if MCGamer turns into a 1.7 server what is going to happened with all the 1.8 maps that people have made for the server are they going to get deleted or just saved and waits to 1.9 I'm not sure but really this can be a bit problem for us that makes maps to make maps in 1.7 because its a lot less blocks in 1.7 then 1.8

btw for you guys saying the maps will have to be revamped. For what I have saw on 1.7/1.8 mixed servers in 1.7 most of the blocks are stone/dirt depending on what it would make it look normal.

Imagine the admins as the owner of a dog.
The community is the dog.
The owner is supposed to walk the dog, and the dog is supposed to run alongside.
In our case, the dog is running faster than the owner, and instead of resisting, the owner is giving in.

It's probably because the player base is declining, it's like MCSG is a dog breeder but the 1.8 formula doesn't make them as frisky as the 1.7+1.8 formula.

Right! It's mind blowing man. Everyone who I used to play with is so old now. I occasionally chat with some of the old school players and BOOM. Completely different voices, everyone has man voices now.

Why not just go back to 1.2.5? We could function as an old CS 1.6/CSS server and stay in the past.

That's why I don't get why MCGamer is downgrading. The features in 1.8 could be harnessed and used in so many unique ways (Take Hypixel for example) to make gamemodes that are actually enjoyable and bring in profit.

Stop being negative about it. Think about it this way, 1.7 pvp was actually enjoyable. People quit because of this and think about how many people will come back. I also seen that you have posted something about hackers. If someone wanted to hack wouldn't they just download a 1.8 hack client? It isn't like someone was too lazy and quit hacking on mcsg because of the 1.8 upgrade. The reason is, it isn't going to mess with the hackers on mcsg, the problem is still out of hand. Most people are glad for this update.
