I was actually waiting for that comment hence why I included the fact that I've barely played lately and I've seen it a fair bit. Either way it doesn't change the fact that when the map with 5% wins a lot more people are getting disappointed and frustrated. Okay, that one person won their map of choice, awesome for them but why please one person when you can please 23 others. That's my overall point, it's a ridiculous way to look at things. Most people are just saying leave if you don't like it but the fact is, if you don't like playing the 'overplayed' maps then why don't you leave? Why should we leave? The map we wanted was majority voted for, how's it fair that we need to leave after waiting a full lobby time for a map we were certain was going to win? I honestly think it's very unfair.
Well you're also basing it off the present. What if, because of this opportunity, you discover a great map that you had never played before? If you are so closed-minded about this, you will continuously play the same maps, and you will never learn about the potential that every single map on MCSG has. Right now, let's say you like Valleyside University. But because you always vote for that map, you haven't played more than a single match on Survival Games 2. Then with this system, that one person that voted for SG2 wins and you play on that map. You don't leave, you play the match, and you find yourself doing really well. You enjoy the map, and because of this one experience you end up voting for it in the future.

People really don't play just to explore maps... People play to win.

That's a good point, but what if you discover you can win way more on a map you've never played before? Also, if you've never played on it before, chances are other people haven't either, so if you get good at it fast you can easily win there.

I also believe this is way more balanced, considering quad teams are allowed, 4 Diamond donors could join a game and instantly have the majority vote and win. No chance. No luck. They get THEIR map, with THEIR over powered chest route. Besides, you will probably have moments were the map you want has like 12% and it'll win, you'll be like "Yes!" Also I really do like the innovative thinking of, 'Let's not remove underplayed map.. Let's make them played again!' I really love that you guys are bringing a challenge back to the game, because people now need to learn new maps, and deal with it! Besides, it's not like the map with 80% will always NOT be voted in... It has a 4/5 chance of winning still! :)
I really do like the new voting system however....
I feel as if less people will donate. I'm sure statistics will show it overtime but even though I am not a donator, I can tell how frustrating your power (That you paid for) Has suddenly changed, and it may not always be the way you want it. This doesn't change my opinion on buying donator personally; Diamond Donor seems to be the only worth it to me now, so I'll probably end up purchasing that sooner or later, but it will still frustrate me that one of the powers that you pay 75$ for has been half diminished.

You say it like it's a bad thing. If you don't play to win, why play?

Maybe people want to play on overplayed maps. Why are you forcing players to play on what they don't want to play?
Amen.

The thing you said about voting is true, in both parts. How we can pick the map we want but that's exactly what we paid for. But regarding the overpowered chest routes, they're open to every person who plays the map if they're quick enough. Also, it's just about chest routes, it's about how PvP friendly the maps are.

Thanks for your opinion.

MCSG is trying to make their servers "unique & different" from other Survival Games servers by changing their voting system. At first I didn't like it, thought they were trying too hard. But now, I am somewhat adapted to it, and feel neutral about it.

The Positives
-Underplayed maps have a much better chance to be played
-It encourages more players to vote (somewhat)

The Negatives
-Limiting our freedom of choice
-More power to the trolls

Limiting the freedom of choice definitely has a big impact on every user on these servers, especially the donors. There will be many complaints.

First was the addition of the south tunnel on Avaricia that no one had a problem with, then, the voting system. We were once informed a chest re-tier on every map a few months ago and I believed that the majority of the community loved it. Only with an experienced & sensible re-tier team, this re-tier would have made a bigger, and a much more positive impact on MCSG. Which would most certainly make MCSG "unique & different" from other Survival Games servers. This never happened.

Once again, I am neutral about the new voting system, but, I believe it's best to have this temporary.

Thank you for reading.

I didn't say it like it was a bad thing, I said people generally want to win when they play Sg.

If you leave every time a map you don't want to play comes up, then you're wasting your time. You could try the map and find out you do like it, and you can't judge a map by having played it once.

And some people don't play to win. I play to play with friends, and in most cases I give the win away even to some random guy in the server.

Maybe people play for having fun?
That being said, I know that I enjoy playing maps I'm not used to, forcing myself to think and do stuff differently.
For those that only really care about "mlg 420 blackbelt" pvp strats, you can really get to learn to think more on the spot by forcing yourself to certain scenarios you aren't used to, such as playing a map without any prior knowledge.
I know I smile every time I get to play my all time favourite map, TSG3 (Futuristic City), but it truly wouldn't be the same if it was overplayed.
I think that by making all maps more equally play(SOME OF US) would enjoy the overplayed and the underplayed ones more, since it'd be more balanced, not necessarily SG4>HR>Valleyside > Avaricia > Sg4 and so on forth.

Why do all you guys seem to think playing a new map makes you better at PvP lol.

It's my choice what maps I play. I said I've played some maps, I didn't say I only played them once either. You guys seem to assume a lot of things. It's not about the maps, it's about the voting and how maps which the majority don't want to play, wins.

Because it sort of takes skill to use the map and its content to your advantage?
