MCSG was made for people's entertainment. What's the point when we can't play maps that most of us prefer and enjoy? I mean, I get that it's more challenging in an unfamiliar map or one that not many people play, but most people actually dislike this and want to play a map they like. Also, on a totally random note, I don't understand why MCSG gets rid of maps like Fortune Island (claiming they're underplayed) rather than maps like Destiny's Shiver (which for all I know gets played twice a year).
Bias. There ARE players who enjoy playing the old and underplayed maps. Just because a majority (and from the looks of the voting system, not a huge majority) enjoys playing the same 2 or 3 maps over and over and over again, doesn't mean that everyone should be put through that. What you are using for reasoning and attempting to justify, is the exact thing that you are arguing against in your statement.

And that's just silly.

Ok, I realise that might have sounded bad. I guess I shouldn't have posted, because I'm not exactly one of the oldest MCSG players. Sorry for sounding biased and dumb.

More people like the old system then hate it. Why should MCSG please the few that want to play the old maps instead of the majority that want to play the others?

If there were to be a vote on keeping it or not in the future, I think it would be hilarious if the voting was exactly like the chance voting in game.

===Votes===
Keep it 8.9%
Get rid of it 91.1%

The final result: Oh, looks like we are keeping it!

I didn't really like the new voting system, I though it only had negative results, but when I looked into it more and thought about it, it has lots of pros, but still, it has cons. Now, maps like Fortress Pyke, Destiny's Shiver etc. etc. have the chance of getting voted. But as that happens, even if people try to get a good old map voted, sometimes it might fail and get again to Valleyside University. A con, is that donors kinda "lost" their voting perk, as now even if a map has 9001 votes, a map that has 1 vote has even a slight (I think 0.01110987668036885% to be excact?) chance of getting voted.
Overall, the new voting system is pretty good!

True dat. They might change it in some months, if the same votes continue they might remove it and put a new one.
If it was to say the votes with the members being 1.000.000:
===Votes===
Keep it: 89001 (Yes, 89001.)
Get rid of it: 910999

This is pretty funny...
