Really cool looking map. Difficult terrain along with other players should make for a very interesting match.

Alright guys, it's that time again for pictures!! We didn't make a whole lot of progress today on the map but we did adress a few issues that existed on the map before.


Here's the new spawn, it's a lot more simple than the old one and we removed the gamemaster's building as it was just taking up space.. Also the structure holding the chests was too easy to guard and those that had control would likely win the match.


This is another of the changes we made to the map today, we replaced the previous bridge which looked out of place with its flashing lights and it didn't really blend into the scenery. So we changed it into a slimmer, more ruinous design. Unfortunately, we were unable to reincorporate our piston pit trap into this trap although we are looking for ways to use it in other parts of the map.

In addition to this I have made a small list of the changes made:
-Fixed spawn to not favor certain players.
-Removed GameMaker's building.
-Changed Bridge
-Modified 2 traps
-Changed design of ruined tower
-Added something else to the ruined tower (not telling...)
-Removed Herobrine

Things that we need to do:
-Make final adjustments to spawn as needed.
-Make the airship bigger!
-Add more ruined towers
-Add more ruined houses
-Possibly add a few more chests?
-Remove portal reference for being too cheesy (I'm being totally serious here...)
-Various other tweaks and changes.

I really want to go into that big dark hole at spawn.
First ting i'm doing when i play on this map! :p

Gah! Can't wait. This is the first serious map I've seen on the forum. I've been rooting for you guys since the begining and really hope this gets implemented. Unlike the others you are doing alot of work and it would be a shame if this was to no avail.

over a thousand maps.... man Tracker must have to just trash most of them..... I would love to play on yours >:3
Also i'm thinking of making my own maps. wish me luck! :3
PS: whats your maps diameter? Because i'm making all of my 750.

Our maps diameter is 500 because of the layered feel of skylands. I don't think that anything bigger than 750 is needed for other maps but the restriction of 500-1000 is a fair restriction and anything in between is fair game.

Thank you for your support! It's been a pleasure hearing from all of you and a whole lot of fun working on this map. Unfortunately now that the weekends over progress on the map will slow down a bit due to the fact that my whole team and I are still in high school (freshmen actually if you can believe it!!!) and tests and homework will slow us down a bit. We still plan on working on the map as much as we can and I will continue to post pictures and change logs (albeit not every day..). So look forward to future updates on Skylands!!

Thx! My first map is something unique. Its basically a huge set up of sandstone archs over a mini-volcano filled ocean. It might be hard to hide but with certain segments being sand and collaspable it makes an uique twist of players changing the map to block off areas, or cause a person to die by death or drowin in sand! >:3

Hahaha, 1002 means 2. Just like when you open checking accounts at the bank, the first check is number 1001.
Also, good job on redesigning the spawn and the bridge, I like those a lot better.
Don't feel bad that your map did not get accepted the first time around, nobody's does lol

Couldn't imagine that comments like these ones would be comming in. We greatly appreciate all of your support. Plus I can't believe that were already at 80 replies already!! Thanks for the support. Ddogclaw will keep you posted on new additions and fix-ups on the map. :)
