Minecraft 1.9: The Combat Update

I have a feeling they're going down a more radical route than some people seem to be thinking. I highly doubt the extent of the update will be removing things that, in the grand scheme of things, are rather minor, like the sprint key. As long as they don't make it too gimmicky and complex I'll be fine, but as it stands the combat system is really barebones.

Yeah, lot a replies relating to "new weapons" and other things..Really, all we can do is hope now

Lets just hope Mojang doesn't overdue it, and think that since they are calling it 1.9 it means they have to change a lot. A little tweaks here and there wouldn't hurt, but I just hope they don't make any major changes.

I agree I feel like there going to add guns and crap like that

I don't think individual posts will really get our intents out there. We need to come together as a group and discuss what we primarily want, then post as a whole from the pvp community.

I do very much agree with this. There should be some sort of forum for the community members to fill out with, let us say, their top five suggestions. This forum would then be filter for any duplicate suggestions or troll suggestions, and then can be presented on the Reddit by someone like Chad on behalf of the MCGamer Network. I feel as if they were to see community specific suggestions, they may listen to what we have to say.

I've been on MCSG for years and I'd love new weapons. It would make strategy and combat so much deeper if they added things like spears and battle axes that had different reach, power, etc. Just 1.7 would be a massive letdown.

I also hope they do things to make fighting mobs more interesting. New mob tactics would be pretty neat.
