I honestly think that the voting system is very effective, the problem I have with it is that bad maps are voted. If it were up to me I would have regular votes to see who wants a map and who doesn't. In my opinion I think it should be up to the public as to which maps stay and which ones go. Maps such as Wyverns Wake would have straight up been voted to stay and a map such as Fortress Pyke would have gone. It should be up to the public to decide..

Summary: The voting system stays but some maps don't.
Umm.. *cough* did you just insult Fortress Pyke? Bring out the boxing gloves... :p

The maps are voted for a reason..... If a map has the highest votings, THEN THAT MEANS THE MAJORITY OF THE TRIBUTES WANT TO PLAY IT!! Underplayed maps are underplayed for a reason and that's because people don't like them... So why make us play them? Also this new voting system really gets on my nerves in clan battles...when a terrible map is picked over a clan battle map like valleyside

There are about 10 or so posts above yours that nullify your argument. Please at least try to read some other arguments before stating your opinions, it provides a much more educated opinion. Here are a few bullet points from earlier posts.

-You are a Donator, not a customer. MCSG does not owe you anything.

-Clans make up a minuscule portion of the community.

-If it is truly about skill, then you should be able to win with your clan on a lesser known map with no route.

-What makes a 'good' and 'bad' map is purely subjective.

-Maps are often voted only because players have OP routes for it (Vida Cova, Valleyside, etc.) rather than because they enjoy the map.

In no way was I attempting to censor your thoughts, I was merely suggesting you think about other people's opinions who provide good points in rebuttal to yours'. It may be a free country where you can say what you want, but you can still be smart about saying it.
P.S please read the edit I made to my previous post.

This made absolutely no sense at all and then you start talking about that it's a free contry? Just get off this thread if you're accusing someone of being uneducated..... This thread is for public opinion in which YOU shouldn't question.

Please read other posts before posting something that has been repetitively posted.
Sorry bout the double post but you don't know what you're talking about. You just joined the forums which I can see because you only have 11 messages..
Also you're contradicting yourself because that other guy just told me to stop repeating things which YOU just did

Personally, there are ups and downs to this system.

Raffle Voting:

Pros:
Raffle voting allows for players to play underplayed maps that may have not ben touched on in a long time, and adds variety. It's not just based on what some diamond donor and his five friends want.
Cons: Earlier on, the voting system was slightly messed up, and it seemed as if the lower chanced (1-10%) maps would almost always win. That has been fixed. However, sometimes maps that hardly anyone wants to play will still get voted, causing frustration and people will leave. The input of this system has increased a lot more "ew i hate this map. /leave" type behavior. Also, clan battles and scrimmages have been slightly messed up because of this. If the teams want to play on SG Highway, but some other people in the lobby want to play, say, Breeze Island, and Breeze wins with 10% it causes ultimate frustration because now both clans have to find a new server with good maps and get all their non-donor players in.

Voting by 'Most Popular' Option:

Pros: Majority rules. The majority of the lobby will be pleased with the voted map. There was never a serious encountered problem with the old voting system. There were no real issues that were solved with raffle voting, however it did add some nice varieties, I've played some relatively underplayed maps more than I used to.
Cons: Maps can become incredibly overplayed, and some player's favorite maps that are underplayed may never be voted. Underplayment leads to map removal. The raffle system gives all maps a more fair chance.

Thank you for reading. I hope this could help you formulate your opinion, personally I don't really sway myself either way c:
