BSM allows a toggle sprint option, which vanilla users using a PC don't have.BSM should honestly be allowed now that 1.7.2 is out... There are barely any differences between the two. o_x
You don't need BSM to sprint while on fire...Sprint never breaks. It gives the advantage of moving around a lot quicker. It also means you are able to do things such as sprinting while on fire.
So the only difference is that people on 1.7.2 have to hold down the key and BSM users can press it once. I don't really see how it gives anyone an advantage. Once you hold down the sprint button everything works just like BSM does. Plus, since Mac users can bind it to caps lock they basically have the equivalent to BSM but better, since 1.7.2 has it's advantages over BSM as well since they can start sprint in mid air. Yes, the mod was a huge problem back in the 1.6 days and before that, but now that the newest version of MC has almost identical sprint mechanics I think this is pointless... There are so many people, like me that are forced to play on 1.6.4 because of Optifine. Why aren't we allowed to get BSM? MCSGers on 1.7.2 have a massive advantage over us JUST because they have better PCs. How is that fair in any way?BSM allows a toggle sprint option, which vanilla users using a PC don't have.
Yes it has, MooMan came back and has been assigned to work on MCTF2, while the others work on other issues.
Yeah bowhoo, it doesen't but what's stopping me from taping down my sprint button in 1.7?It's the SAME THING.BSM doesn't break you sprint if you hit someone btw. It also doesn't break it when you run into a wall
Well said Gab. In all honesty it's a case of waiting for 1.7.2 Optifine now >_<So the only difference is that people on 1.7.2 have to hold down the key and BSM users can press it once. They could have at least waited until optifine updated to 1.7.2. :/Well said Gab. In all honesty it's a case of waiting for 1.7.2 Optifine now >_<
or we can all use a vanilla client without any mods so no one has an advantage. So the only difference is that people on 1.7.2 have to hold down the key and BSM users can press it once.
