It's too laggy. Now reread question bearing in mind I can only play on 1.6 with more than 20 fps.
You cannot. You will have to either not use the sprint toggle and play 1.6, or bite the bullet and use sprint toggle on a more laggy 1.7. On the bright side, 1.7 seems to have an option for less anisotropic filtering, greatly helping performance, so the difference between 1.6 optifine and 1.7 vanilla shouldn't be too bad.

If it does greatly affect you negatively, I'm sorry, but those with less powerful machines are always going to be disadvantaged. That's just an unfortunate downside of PC gaming, and we aren't going to give anyone an advantage with unfair mods to make up for that, especially since we'll be back at square one when 1.6 is no longer supported.

Thank you for your consideration.
How would a simple toggle Sprint be an advantage, though? - I haven't read much of thread, I am using a kindle -

The toggle sprint works kind of like bsm in the way that you don't break sprint when running into things or messing up your sprint going up a mountain. It will automatically continue your sprinting in about half the time it would take a pro to double tap. Something bad about the sprint is that sometimes if you're holding it down 24/7, which I don't do, it will continue to lag you back till you shift or block your sword. With this toggle sprint you can continue sprinting and chase someone and also gives you an advantage if you're being chased. I like it personally, but people have mixed opinions about it.

I'm not sure you understand, it may be me though; Because I'm too laggy to play on 1.7 and BSM for, 1.6 users like me, is illegal for 'providing a range of features that are not included in vanilla minecraft', am I allowed to use a simple toggle Sprint Mod that does not include the features that BSM has such as toggle crouch?

I wouldn't think so, but ask a mod anyway to be sure :D

Because any mods you'd be looking to download with some auto-sprint feature will probably end up having other things on it that could be used to your advantage, like bsm.
Well, I'm aware of at least one, by quickly googling 'toggle Sprint1.6' that does not include any other features.

I snipped this for multiple reasons, one is that I don't have to read it again.
For one:
This may sound a bit harsh, but it's not really anyone's fault you have a bad computer. That's a disadvantage that is impossible to fix over Minecraft, besides performance enhancing mods such as Optifine.
Also:
BSM users DO have an advantage. Their toggle sprint is much different than us mac user's. Their toggle sprint is one key; hit it once and it goes until you hit it again. On a mac with Caps Lock, you tap it once. Then, once you open inventory, main menu, etc, you have to tap it twice; once to un-toggle the sprint, and once to toggle it again. This provides a disadvantage to non-BSM users.

So when the server was compatible with both 1.6 (able to get on the server with bsm) and 1.7 and someone was somehow caught for bsm, people would've gotten banned for that?

But most players don't have gaming computers and do need optifine, this isn't just about me. And I don't exactly understand how pressing a button once after you open your inventory is SUCH a huge disadvantage. Even Chad said that BSM will be allowed after MCSG switches to 1.7 if nothing about the mod changes.
