Who's going to check a chest in the middle of a fight? It still gives somewhat of an advantage to mac users. :/
Sometimes I do if I have no weapon and the guy is not going to give up/going to run out of space to run. (It works sometimes, I have done it before)

Are you stupid? I said BSM is better,5 times...I said 1.7.2 is more OP because you can sprint while in the water easily, yeah in vanilla you can just jump into the water from land while sprinting but when you let go of W and it breaks, you can just hit your sprint button in 1.7.2 and you'll sprint without going back onto land or the bottom of the ocean,BSM is better and less over powered then 1.7.2, BSM you can literally just sprint easier, same with 1.7.2, 1.7.2 you can sprint whenever you want when your in water, giving you an advantage when BSM, all you can do is sprint easier. My god, your statements are so irrelevant.
BSM doesn't break you sprint if you hit someone btw. It also doesn't break it when you run into a wall

Just a question:
If I record a video while testing out the auto-detection thingy, can I appeal and have the 60 second ban removed from my record?

Ex:

I log into Minecraft using a BSM Jar, and start recording at the Title Screen where it says "SinglePlayer" "MultiPlayer" etc.
I say out loud (For the video) "I am using a Better Sprint Mod Jar, to test out the auto-kick, to see how effective it is."
I log into an MCSG Server, say the Hub or a server that is in-game, and get kicked/tempbanned
And then I say "As you can see, MCSG really does have an auto-detection system."

Will I be able to appeal the ban and have it removed from my record, if I give the video as evidence that I was merely testing it?
This is purely for informational purposes, as I'm curious to see how effectively/quickly the system detects BSM.

Edit: I don't know if this was asked before, I didn't look through all the comments. My apologies if it was.

It will remain on your record, but it does not count against you when applying for mod, for example.

I don't think the 60 second ban thing is on your record. I think it's just more of a warning, like when the console kicks you for spam. I had a mod check my record a while ago and I was clean, even though the console had kicked me before. So, I think the same goes for this.
EDIT: Never mind. Just read the dev's post.

Well, I've figured out a way that people with enough money to buy fancy keyboards/mouses can practically replicate the toggle sprint effect of BSM in 1.7.2....

Without BSM as a viable option to compete with people like this, people using macs and/or fancy keyboards/mouses are going to have a pretty sizable advantage over everyone else...

Here's the deal.
BSM has the option to sprint sideways and backwards, but ONLY in singleplayer.
1.7 sprint allows the 1-tap feature of BSM, but on a Mac, if you set your sprint key to CAPS, it will toggle it. 1.7 sprint is even better than BSM; you can start your sprint midair, in the water, etc.
Hope this clarified.
