Optifine against the rules.

I personally need OptiFine for my computer not to crash when they teleport us over to either map, so i would hate it if it were banned. And i'm pretty sure the 'zoom' feature doesn't let you see further it just magnifies your maximum render distance, allowing you to focus on far away objects. So in my book thats not really cheating as you can still see those blocks as they are loaded by your render distance already, its making it easier to make out the details...

If it is already tell me. Optifine may make Minecraft run better but it allows players to zoom. Zooming can ruin the game. Say I wanna be stealth and I crouch behind a tree and stick out a tiny bit. The person sees me. He zooms and sees that it is me. If he doesn't have Optifine he would have to go over and check it out for himself and then I could sneak attack him somewhat. NOT FAIR. Make Optifine against the rules.

The question is why dont you have Optifine ?

Just so you guys know the only reason Optifine is legal is because Chadthedj (The owner of the servers) uses it. So he must be cheating to huh?

Its not against the rules Bigmike so he's not cheating. I don't install single player hacks. I find that downloading them slows my computer more.

Search yourself up in leaderboards click your name and copy BB Code to signature editing place.

OptiFine just boost your minecraft, it can't decrease your FPS broman.

No. The reason why optifine is not considered a hack or a disallowed mod is because some people need to have it installed to play. Not everyone can get a playeable frame rate with just vanilla minecraft. Making this mod a bannable offense would be rediculous and would make many players unable to play on the server. So bottom line is, Optifine is mod allowed on these servers.

Yeah, I have Optifine and it increases my FPS from 15 to about 40, so there's no way that I will ever remove it. And I think that if Optifine is ever banned then MCSG will lose a large portion of its players.

I had to remove Optifine because after half an hour it would start slowing down my entire computer. Apparently it was hogging all of my Ram which resulted in reduced FPS and several freezes as time went on. Only when i closed Minecraft and waited for 2 minutes did everything go back to normal.

A bit off-topic but meh. Minecraft is still playable without it but it would of been nice if i could see it actually working.
