Is homophobia truly a bad thing?

The bible isn't an argument because it's unreliable.
There have been several predictions made by it and most of them have been found to be heavily fallible and erroneous.
Therefore we can conclude that the bible is not a credible source of information.

There's probably more people who find it strange, maybe because it's unusual for them to see it or other stuff, I find it nice. =)

I'm pretty sure discussing videos of a adult nature would be going 2 far but people make that argument alot and it makes no sense.

I find man + man to be gross yeah but
I find woman + woman to be attractive and I seem it 100% acceptable. Now before you say anything hear me out.

This is the easiest way I could put it 4 u:

Let's say I served u a plate of something disgusting, like grass or wood or something you deem inedible. You'd be disgusted and probably extremely angry that I'd even serve you something like that.

But on the other hand, you love cake and ice cream. If I were to put a scoop of ice cream on top of a slice of cake, (both things you find appealing) there'd be nothing wrong.

So when it comes to

I don't think homophobia comes into play

It's just 2 things you don't like together versus 2 things you do like together

There are so many different opinions, arguments, debates et cetera on this topic that it is impossible to find an unbiased argument about the subject.

On that note, my two cents on the matter is

I don't think it makes you a bad person to be a homophobe, it all depends on how you were raised, what you were exposed to and not exposed to. As long as you aren't hurting someone's feeling deliberately then you should be fine. You have the nature to make hatred but only you can decide if you want to do it or not.

Homophobia isn't bad so long as you don't let it influence your life- or worse, the lives of others).

You should be free to be afraid or disgusted by whatever makes you feel afraid or disgusted, but self-restraint and tolerance should always trump fear and disgust in our society.
We should tolerate you when you close your eyes when two dudes kiss, just as you should tolerate the freedom those two guys have to kiss. It's when you try to prevent those two men from kissing (in accordance to your own agenda), or when those two guys force you embrace their kissing (in accordance to their own agenda), that a line is crossed. And that line is what we're feeling out right now.

^That is a mindset that can apply to abortion, marijuana, gays, etc.

If you are against something, don't do it, but if it doesn't put anyone else in danger or cause an ACTUAL problem (not made up like so many of these "problems" seem to be), then I cannot seem to understand why so many people have issues with things like this.

I don't think you could call those people stupid, there are a bunch of people out there who take god's word as law and live by the Bible. Doesn't make em stupid tho
