Corruption in staff?

Ohhhhhh... meh, corrupt? Nahh just unfair and unjustified.

'Staff' are not corrupt. As a community it is debatable wether we are corrupt or not, also depending on which Region you are discussing. Being an EU player, personally I think 'corrupt' would be a strong word to use. We are far from the perfect community, and in any community you will have the few people that weaken the community, but there are twice as many people who are genuinely some if the nicest people I have ever met. They are kind, considerate and balance out the community.

Now for the staff, the staff (at least in eu) are mostly perfect, the staff that do a good job are insanely good at what they do, I have never seen mods argue or anything and don't feel there is a lack of communication or anything.

No one is perfect wether they are a mod, normal player, or even Chad. We all make mistakes, but this community or the staff won't ever be corrupt.

Two things you have to keep in mind:

1. Everybody makes mistakes, some more than others, but you have to respect that and attempt to help if possible.

2. Every community will have a rogue staff member at one point or another, I don't play AU, so I don't know whether there are any corrupt staff there, but it's not the staff member him/herself that matters. I can guarantee you that any rogue staff member will be dealt with appropriately.

Yes but the thing is you all blame it on a mistake, would you still call it a honest mistake if it happened multiple times? And from a sr staff someone whose experienced and knows the right punishments.

The staff isn't corrupted, it just seems that way because they have problems of their own and they may be busy or stressed out and can't deal with yours at the moment.

I'm gonna put my thoughts into this thread.

As has been mentioned acouple of times, no system, anywhere, is perfect. There will always be imperfections and mistakes that need to be found and ironed out. This combined with simple human error can have a rather negative effect on the community as a whole. But that is why the senior staff exists, to combat these errors and mistakes that arise from the moderation staff, be them honest or not, and deal with the issues that they create. At this moment there are 11 extremely dedicated and professional senior staff members, whos main job is to make sure the community is free of any unfairness. When people feel they have been unfairly punished, it is the job of these people, through the Ban Dispute system, to help out players in these cases. I remember going through ban disputes as a senior mod and finding a few errors. I, like the rest of theteam, dealt with the issue, brought it up to the moderator involved, and that was the end of it.

To the rumours of an innefficient senior staff, I believe (probably somewhat biasedly Mooclan ) that these people are the best to fufil the role. I trust each of the senior staff members to make the correct decision, and to be fair in every situation. I know I can trust the senior moderators for 2 reasons, 1 is that I know them all personally, and so have the personal connection, and 2 because they were hired by the Administrative staff. I know I can trust them because they were hired, personally, by Chad himself, and, as history shows, he clearly knows how to run and organise this community, through thick and thin.

Issues always come about, mistakingly or not, but the whole strucural system is implace to combat them. All of the chains of command are easily contactable, to ensure the continuity and fairness of the community, and that, I feel, is why, on the whole, MCGamer has the best moderation system around.
