Leather boots? Overpowered? They might have the same protection as all the other boots, but boots really aren't that great in the first place....

Ah. Actually, I think they would be completely fine. There was a thread created by RedSeamonster a while ago, where people discussed this, and seemed to come to a conclusion, the fact that you would have to take off all your armor in order to use an invisibility potion would balance out the otherwise overpowered nature of the item, and make it into an interesting strategical item.

There was a thread created by RedSeamonster a while ago, where people discussed this, and seemed to come to a conclusion, the fact that you would have to take off all your armor in order to use an invisibility potion would balance out the otherwise overpowered nature of the item, and make it into an interesting strategical item.

But you still get a lot of hits on your opponent even without armour before they realize how they would detect you, and it's still really hard. Maybe if the potions lasted a short amount of time (5-10 seconds) it would be fair.

Personally, if I started getting hit, I would turn around and start swinging instantly, and two hits of a diamond sword could kill an invisible, armor less guy....

Yeah, but you don't know where they are if they keep moving. I'm pretty sure it's 3 hits though.

Not if you crit. And for them to do actual damage, they would have to be holding a sword which you could use to pinpoint their location.

Fine. But they only appear in tier 3 chests with a very low chance of spawning.
