Hello everyone

Raphahell here ...i am new to hunger games and i really want to become better

Since i am a totally newbie

Can you tell me how to get better?

I think the first rule is to learn the maps and where the chests are..am i right?

But can you give me other tips and tricks?

Ok here are some easy tips and tricks:
1) Get a chest route for each map!
2) Always sprint and jump
3) Read The rules http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/mcsg-updated-rules-version-3-0.12254/
4) Don't rage at people. This is all for fun!
5) Don't rage if you aren't good, you will get better
6) lint and steel only has 3-4 uses
7) Never run away in DeathMatch! You will get struck by lightning
8) Always fight, only run if you are low on hearts!

-Best way to kill a team is light them on fire.
-Points mean nothing so if someone says: "Only People with (insert amout here) points team with me." Then type /records (their name here) it will tell you the amount of wins they have.
-Know the most common routes and find one not involving that.
-Decide wheather or not you should go to corn at the start.
-If you see someone (early or late but be sure) in full iron with a wood axe or just a fist Take them out.
-Don't put your armour on unless you have a waepon. (reduce the likely hood of being targeted.)
-Know where the crafting tables are for when you go hunting.
-Know the common locations for where people hide.
-When fighting in the water ALWAYS be underneath them.
-If someone is fleeing from you and they jump in water use your bow.
-When playing on a map with lots of water get a boat.
-Never fishing rod someone running away from you it does nothing but help them (I tested this with friends)
-Look out for traps and holes in the ground. (some traps are worth it but others just kill you)

Those are all of the tips and Hints I can think of.

Well, either look up some videos or remember where you go when you play a map!

Watch people on YouTube like Blamph, and explore maps as a spectator. You can also download the maps in the Maps section and explore in Singleplayer.

Also, never chase people down unless they stuff you need. You could end up wasting the whole match chasing down a guy with just a stick.
