What would be the best way to trick people into lowering their guard?

Keep an extremely bad weapon, as if you have a lot of armor, players won't believe that you have no weapon.
Taking off armor is a bad idea.
You can also bounty away your points to a number between 200 to 500.

Try to act retarded and ask before the game "team wf me pls"
Chances are, some players will let their guard down.

Afking also guarantees someone coming at you with their guard (probably) down.

What's the best way to kill the career tribute if he far outgears you?

Run away to get more armor / weapons.
If you're trapped, try to run away and "juke" him.
If in a narrow corner, just run past him.
If in a small room, strafe around him and run to the exit.

Or, attempt to kill him. If you give up, you'll never kill anyone.

I meant to say, I just wanna kill him, not run away. How would I go about killing him, give me some tips for fighting OP guys please

1. Have better connection.
2. Circle strafing
2 b. While strafing, make sure you actually hit him.
3. Bowspam like Niblic
4. Blockhit if necessary.
5. Hit & Run
6. Surprise
7. Ask for Leafy's .jar
8. Learn ockticking
9. Learn arcticking
10. Ask to be a team, and betray him.
These tips will encourage the chances of you killing those players, but not guaranteed a 100% success rate.

Should I jump from a tree and get fall damage but get a critical on a guy or sneak my way down and surprise hit him? :3

It depends on their armor, and your weapon. If you have an wooden sword, and they are close to full iron, I'll recommend you don't.
If the fall damage makes you lose over 5 hearts, don't do it.
Make sure that you can combo him on a corner, as he might not realize that he is getting jumped on. You'll get at least 3 hits before he notices, and unless your combo fails, ocktick it out. Don't give up though.

Okay If its just been refill and no one is there should I run and grab something from a chest or wait for someone else to surprise attack or the career of the game to get refill and then get the last stuff that he leaves?

What I do is to look at who's left. If you know there's a team or skilled players, just run to spawn and grab everything. Leave nothing behind.
If it's a bunch of scrubs, just wait to ambush them. Normally, they take forever to take things out of chests, and come to spawn with their hard-earned wooden axe and leather tunic.
If you have almost nothing, just go for it.
