Make Fence/Eating Glitch Againist the Rules.

If everyone can do it, how is it unfair? The sole reason we made glitches kickable/bannable is because it's unfair... but if everyone can do it it's an even playing field.

The point he's trying to make it not everyone knows about it.

Its allowed, why do we need to explain more. If they can do it so can you so there isnt anything to be upset about.

I personally hate it, and would love for it to be kickable, but it's not going to happen.

Not everyone knows how to execute the fishing rod trick. Or that if you do a 360 while you eat raw chicken you won't get poisoned. Those are not against the rules.

Sorry for the double-post here guys.

I just want to start out by saying I know its part of Minecraft I have that grasped. But, it is in your rules:
I have asked mods why does MCSG allow this? Some were helpful. Some were just defensive about the entire thing. They commonly said though because it doesn't give an edge to any player.

It does give an edge to a player. But if all players have the ability and can use this edge, it's not an edge anymore. The movie the Incredibles put it in the best way:

If everyone has an edge because of the glitch... no one does.

Not everyone uses it because not everyone knows of it which creates an unfriendly new players environment. Also, why should anyone have to learn a glitch to SG to have that same advantage just seems absurd.

When you pick up a new video game it's always an unfriendly environment. You have to learn different tricks, and improve. This tactic, or "glitch" is just another thing to learn. It's only as unfriendly as the whole game is to a new player.

I think that if MCSG is going to kick/ban for using glitches/exploits that they should not pick a choose what a few think are 'fair' and stand by the rules you have in place or change them. Or at least explain a better explanation other than "It's fair because everyone can use it."

I know you're quoting me here on this one. But at the time, I did explain it better then that. We as Staff have already cleared this up previously.

Yeah. I think endlessly chasing someone is ridiculous. And this glitch literally can make endless chases. I think it should be considered one of those glitches that are toxic and should not be allowed. Apparently, people like playing tag though instead of pvping

I was quoting several mods I spoke to. I think you were just to most defensive one. Can tell you worked it into your play style. and that's ok according to MCSG. I guess.

I really loathe that explanation just reminds me of someone saying forcefield is fair because anyone can download it. But, your link was helpful but, I still absolutely disagree. I guess I will just take a break and hope 1.8 fixes it

But again, force-field is a modification and isn't readily available in the game.
