"9. Do not exploit bugs or glitches: We want to the servers to be the best that it can be and if a bug or glitch is spotted, report it to staff privately ASAP."

Aslong as there is no official message about this you can consider it bannable, if a mod choses not to warn / ban for it that's a different story.

Or conversely, there is no rule regarding this tactic, so it should not be bannable. I'm sure mods had been told to not ban/kick for this until a final decision is made.

Its a bug in minecraft, and exploiting a bug is bannable. As stated in the rules.

It is actually caused by Bukkit, which also causes fishing rod knockback. By that logic, should using fishing rod knockback also be bannable?

The knockback isn't a bug though.

Was it an intended feature? I'm highly certain that the rod knockback is intended, but I wouldn't think the fence eating is.

Is Using a minecraft glitch or bug bannable? I thought the rule meant only the server bugs and glitches..
