On block hitting

In close combat, like in confined spaces, or if I'm pinned against a wall, I would block-hitting.
But in any other instance I would strafe and get those critical hits xD.

Block-hitting in my opinion is NOT nobody whatsoever! To use it as an effective PVP strategy is very difficult and will probably resault in your death many times. For me, the only time block-hitting can actually help, is when you are in a confined space or in fighting in water. In these instances your mobibility is already limited so it is much easier to use block-hitting effectively.
The best way to overcome block-hitting is to strafe... Block-hitters are very slow and a decent strafer can easily overcome them In PVP. If you can learn to strafe while block-hitting however, you will become very OP. to do this you have to time everything just right, so that you circle them and you start attacking at just the right moment. If you are are good at PVP however and you do die to someone who was block-hitting, they are NOT a noob, but more likely a pro.
If you are not good at strafing however, another easy way to defeat a block-hitter is by secondary weapons like a bow and flint n steal. If you are good with a bow, it will be very easy to kill a block-hitter by fireing speed shots, because of their limited movement this will be devastating to them and will drain their health. Flint n Steal on the other hand will do a fair amount of damage as well as lowering their moral. If you apply these tactics, even if you are bad with a sword you will still be able to win the fight.

If you are trying to block-hit against a someone who strafes(80% of the community) it will undoubtedly get you killed unless you are extremely skilled at it.

You can be mobile while blockhitting.

Technically, you are not mobile during the actual action of blockhitting. To be mobile, you need to stop attacking, move, then attack again.

He meant to be as fast as possible while attacking, you can be fast while blockhitting.

I'm pretty sure he means the speed in which the player moves. When block hitting, your speed is slower than walking.
