Do you believe the amount of arrows needs to be Nerfed?

Yes it is silly to have 10+ arrows early game. Arrows are a secondary weapon privileged, like flint and steel, and should be more rare. Maybe 1 arrow in tier 1 and a couple more (5 even) in tier 2. Although i think their 2's are a little op as is but that's another story.

The reason people voted for the 5 arrows was because there was no option for 1 arrow. I'm sure most people would have voted for that. I think a good compromise though is to have 2-3 arrows in chests, so that it's not too many but not just a lonely 1.

I want 1 arrow per chest again. And I also want 1 feather per chest again. Holding onto arrows needs to be recourse management once again :p

The amount of arrows that spawned in the past was perfect...why change it? In the past, I found myself constantly contemplating whether or not to use my arrows in a fight - it was a matter of using them strategically. Wasting them could make you later lose your life. I actually found myself, more often than not, not using any arrows at all, since even one or two could take a huge hit on the amount I had and (since I often don't fully charge them.) would hardly turn the tide of a fight. I usually only used them on teams or really early game stacked opponents, sometimes on people running with extremely low health. Nowadays...I don't even care. I spam arrows like no tomorrow knowing that I still have 40 left...heck, even when there was a guy near the border on Breeze Island while I'm on the mainland, I would shoot him from full health to nothing just because I have a stack and a half of arrows.

It's really frustrating when I have the huge advantage on an opponent, I chase him in the water for a bit, and he pulls out like 40 arrows. On Breeze Island, it's impossible to avoid the water, and now that arrows spawn so commonly, all it takes is to be caught at the wrong moment to get killed in it with ease. It doesn't matter how good I am at dodging/blocking arrows, I can't avoid 40 of them, and since people tend to be so careless with their arrows, (since there is such a sheer amount.) they will use all 40 to kill someone if they can, regardless of the gear.

The arrows also doesn't help when fighting teams. If I have to run from a team, one will just shoot arrows, while the other chases me from right behind. I can't stop and pick up the missed arrows without dealing with the one member, so they get picked up again and used. The other team member simply cuts me off again and the process repeats. Normally, this wouldn't be so bad if they had about 10 arrows, I could let him hit me and he'll lose it, however now...they will never run out. I have to run for ages until I eventually die. One arrow hitting me can hurt enough to keep me away from fighting for another good amount of time for another shot, and when I'm also constantly being chased by his teammate, it takes only one slip up in this long period of time to completely lose. (It's also frustrating when a team of like 4 is all shooting you with like 30+ arrows each. I can't dodge that many for that long. :/)

It may seem like a minor issue to have so many arrows at first, but it actually completely changes the pace and PvP of the game, which is a big deal since maps like solar frost, SG4 and Breeze, small, PvP oriented maps are constantly being picked. Lots of fights are mostly arrows now, which is a drastic change from the mostly melee fights. Melee fights had much more to them, since fishing rods and flint and steel could also cleverly be used to trick and severely weaken your unsuspecting opponent... But now, fights are predictable and, in some cases, a matter of who has more arrows. It's frustrating to die to someone who got like 40 arrows when I got like 10. If I shoot him 10 times and he doesn't die...I have a huge problem, because wearing out his 30 or so left is not an easy task.

Side note: 5 feathers spawning doesn't even make any sense. All they are used for is arrows, and since flint spawns in groups of one, you'd have to have a 5:1 ratio of flint spawns to feather spawns for it to be entirely useful at all. The rarity of this is so insane that it honestly just clutters me inventory. 1 feather was fine, the 50/50 chance of getting more feathers or more flint made sense and I never quite understood the reasoning behind making feathers spawn in groups of 5. (At most a group of 2 would makes sense...but 5? That's a bit overkill, really.)

On the topic of chest spawns: Food is also still way too common (unless I'm mistaken. Haven't played much recently.) It's extremely rare now that I actually run low on food. This frequent food is also just not enough for new players while being far too much for pros, which, technically, makes it even more unbalanced in a sense that pros will never really run out. New players that have trouble with food probably have a hard time finding chests period, so spawning more food per chest will only really help those who actually manage to find a few. This benefits players with chest routes more, and to be honest, players with good chest routes in the past were generally fine with food as it was. At least then, food was sometimes a concern, but now...I don't care if I have no food, I'll run to my destination anyway since the next person I kill will have 4 pumpkin pies and 3 cooked chicken. (Arrows are more important, though: They change the games more drastically than food does.)

To be honest, all future chest item changes should be dealt with by staff. Lots of 'em. Staff that actually frequently plays the games. Threads like these bringing up a concern/asking for change are fine, but making a poll and choosing items with the most votes is not always the best decision...people tend to vote for things they think would be "cool", but to be honest, just look at so many threads in this section...most of the time, people don't know 100% the conflicts/possibilities/complications/problems/anything of the sort. It's better dealt with by people who know more about balancing a game and those who put a lot of thought into it. (No offense to anyone, but unless I'm mistaken, there were a lot of votes for having ender pearls in tier 1 chests...really guys? I already know that wouldn't work out well at all. Could have even been worse than this whole arrow issue. :/)

I only recently been starting to play the game alot more often and seriously and have noticed that arrows are not a concern. I don't even need to craft arrows because i always find stacks of 5 arrows in most chest. If im running low on arrows and get a kill, i usually end up getting half a stack of arrows anyways.

That's why they need to be removed. :C

To put it simply, it's just too easy with these arrows.
