Thus so far this is what I have experience as a new player (+20 games).
I'm fairly new at this, but all in all it's very clear that the player/team who gets to camp mid most or is there when sun goes down (chests refilled) will be the winner in the end..
This is because he will most likely get the diamond sword and iron armor.. When he has that, nothing will be able to stop him..
The whole idea of letting some who takes minimum risk, of camping mid (this is a big problem with teamers), win the round is very bad game balancing..
Camping mid/teaming up is not skills, and should NOT be rewarded!
I know the point of this was to bring more action to the mid, but it's clear that this rarely happens and thus the game need a huge balance..
Since all chests are on fixed locations you should instead do it like this:

Since all chests are on fixed locations you should instead do it like this:
- The (new) items in mid shall NOT be above stone (diamond is a HUGE no no), but should instead give a treat that will still make it worth the risk (as to still draw the fights to mid).
- The greater risk at getting the items should be equal to the reward.
- This means that if (example) you're doing a jumping puzzle with the risk of losing a lot of health, you should get the reward from the chest that is equal to the amount.
- If you spend a long time getting to the chest, you should be rewarded with the time spend trying to get there!
- If you find a VERY well hidden chest you should be rewarded for finding it.
