Suggestion: A Plug-in that Shows Your Competition

Also, keep in mind that the entire statistics system would have to be revamped for this to happen.
I mean, I plan on doing it anyways to do more of a day-by-day statistics thing, but it's just something to keep in mind.

Well, win percentage isn't exactly accurate, either...

I, for example, have been giving a lot of wins to my teammates, of which I could easily beat. (And I mean a lot...I win 2, maybe three times in a day I only team and play for hours, but playing for an hour or two less on my own, I win more like 7 times...) As well, even with such a good win percentage myself, I'm still no better than egrodo or any of them just because mine is better.

Points aren't really accurate...for obvious reasons.

Honestly, none of the methods to see who is the "best" in the lobby are really that great. A combination of them would be better - I.E: A secondary account used to store mass points like Creeper_Mayor in the US wouldn't be able to keep up with wins while staying high in points. A horrible win percentage adds onto how unlikely it is the points are legit.

Making the plug-in anyways? And G33ke you bring good points, so maybe your statistics of that day could be shown, not all time.

The idea that has been suggested has been monthly (with separate monthly and all time leaderboards). It's received almost unanimous approval from the community, so I think it should be implemented.

Since I suggested it, however, everyone has seconded the idea, so it's become almost the whole community's idea.

Those are on a todo list, and Chad has mentioned it to me specifically of the things that "would be nice" to have done soon. He knows that the fact I run my own business (with some people who are slacking off over the past few days... Minecraft is demanding, bro!), I can't do a lot at one time without interfering with my business. I believe we are also looking at a day-by-day statistics thing. Last night, an idea came to mind to pool all the statistics together on a day by day basis, thus making monthly stats, and so forth, and only needing one leaderboard. I don't know if that's something you guys would like, but it'd be a little easier to maintain the statistics and make modifications to them.

What I was thinking was this:

For the all time leaderboards, we keep the same leaderboards we have now. Simple, easy, and requires no additional work.

For the monthly leaderboards, I was imagining the data being wiped at the end of each month, and starting anew from 0. However, I do realize that this might be problematic with stas other than wins.

Like G33ke I am giving alot of wins to my friends (G33ke probably wins alot more than me) But off how much I have won it will probably not be long from. I was giving they a way to win, I used only iron helmet, diamond boots and stone sword when they used like full iron and diamond swords. I won.

I once had no armor and a stone(wood?) sword. Beat my teammate who was in full iron/diamond sword without taking a hit. (He claims he wasn't trying...I don't believe him. )

Anyway, I'm not even joking when I say I cannot recall a single game today that I "lost", just ones I let my teammates win, which was more than half the games I played today. Honestly, if I never teamed, my win/lose ratio would be even better, and the way things are looking...I'm maintaining my points much better than I thought I was capable of, my teammates are all that is keeping it down. ._. (Got them from a bounty, keeping them fairly high still.)

Maybe not shown next to someone name like bounty but, win/lose ratios and kill/death ratios. /top kdr /top wlr or something, an extra thing on the leaderboard to toggle viewing by.

I always do that in the lobby. I check some people and their records and think "Huh, this might be an easy win" But then..."Ifrox joined the game" My Win percentage goes down to 10%

How about you just fight your team in the deathmatch and if they don't like that just don't team with them. I like teams though I team with good people and we take turns suiciding in the dm. So we both get even amount of wins and in the end it's a joint effort , not one person doing all the work. Plus it's more fun to team. So cares about the wins? It's all about having fun....
