Everyone voting 'yes' because "new players get a chance to rank up". Okay.

Scenario:
Leaderboards get reset. You try hard, for 2 years and get in top 25. Oh, by then new players would've joined. Does it reset again for a 'fair chance' for all 'new players'.

No it's not fair, at all. When I joined I'm sure the top players on the leaderboards were around 2,000 wins. I still managed to make it up there. It was fair because they started playing before me.

If you want fair then not resetting the leaderboards is most fair.

Why?
Because how is it fair that us, the community who worked hard on our stats get our stats reset? If you're going to argue that we get a legacy leaderboards, none of us want that clearly. Our stats are still being reset whether there's legacy leaderboards or not.

Not resetting is the most fair because it has been there from the start, people have worked hard to get whatever number of wins they have. Saying new players have 'no chance' of fighting for top places, you're wrong. With enough time and dedication it's not that hard. Sure it took me a year to get where I am. I worked for it because I wanted it. If you want a top leaderboard spot go work for it. Resetting the leaderboards is a stupid idea.

If they get reset, I honestly hope many people move away from MCSG.

No you're wrong with this:

"The people who don't want to lose their stats need to understand that they are still going to keep them, just on a seperate leaderboard..."

Well okay, partly right. We don't want to lose our stats. But! I know there's going to be a legacy leaderboard, do I want that? No. I'd prefer to continue with my current stats. I don't care if my 'old stats' would be saved or not. I think this is a terrible move.
If you dont want to lose your stats and as long as you can do simple addition you can add your legacy stats to your current stats and boom, you have your stat total.

Thats a little rude, mind telling me why that is?
this whole thing will ruin so many parts of the community and i have just about been able to hang on for so long. a reset such as this would be gob-smacking and i along with other people trying to find a good reason to start playing mcg are having trouble to.

if the reset happens it will be like shooting a puppy for no reason, it makes no sense and will just annoy people more than please them.

this community has so much history and i don't want my stats to be a un-glorified trophy saying "thank you for participating".. f that i want to be known, which might seem a bit boastful but i go into games and people say, "wow ferno nice stats m8". this is small but gives me the small feeling that i have worth in this community before the same guy kills me with hacks.

idc if you think that you can just add the stats on. cuse it does not show the true skill of the player in their description when they write " i have 200 wins + the 1000 i had on the old servers" it makes them seem weaker since people will say "pfft you boosted that now look where you are with your stupid 200 wins, you are not good xD"

so sorry for being patriotic but i believe many people have a connection with their stats. and i and them would prefer to keep them.

Lastly I'd like to end by saying that that the stats are nothing but a number and at the end of the day thats all it stays, a number, so enjoy the servers and have fun. If you really enjoyed the game losing a few numbers wouldn't mean much, would it? :)
My thoughts exactly.
