Why have a long chest route?

I dont have a specific chest route on any map but TSG2, and I dont usually go there anyway....

Grab about 2 tier twos and hopefully get a stone sword or materials to make a better one and fight it out from there. That's what I do, seems to work pretty well for me.

For generally most maps, I have chest routes consisting of around 10 chests. This primary route is mandatory for me and I must loot every chest in this route. I also branch off of this route, to a few more tier twos, if I get really unlucky from my first route.
