Multi-Logging and Account Sharing are related, but will be treated very differently. Account Sharing (the simple act of sharing your one account, such as with a sibling or a friend) is not immediately punishable and is generally frowned upon due to the complications it creates. Multi-Logging is essentially Account Sharing where the multiple players are all playing at the same time. We will tolerate Account Sharing (so long as no suspicious, offensive, or boosting activity occurs), but we will not tolerate Multi-Logging.
Wait, so as long as it isn't intended to boost, it's allowed?
Who then determines whether it is boosting or not, and then people just get banned without a fair warning?

Wait so people can only share accounts if they're both are bad at the game and incapable of accumulating wins? Should people with shared accounts try and lose their games? At what point is it considered "boosting" wins if both players are just decent?

Additionally, how would staff determine a shared account?

What if two people use the same VPN?

What if one person owns the account but uses a VPN sometimes, therefore linking multiple IPs to the account?

What if one person owns the account, but moves elsewhere?

What if one person owns the account, but as dynamic IP?

What if one person owns the account, but decides to play at a friend's house one day?

We are currently brainstorming policy on how best to approach and prove this.

There's no question that such a play style is not fair. But what is a surefire process for determining if an account is being shared fairly or not? No easy answers... yet.
To be fair, if more than 1 player uses an account, it can be, you know, unfair. It means that suppose that guy logs off, another guy can login and start playing all day. This way, there are more wins, more games played and it is really unfair. I know quite a few shared accounts, and if you guys change your mind about this, I can tell you quite a few :p

I'm glad this is being fixed and addressed. I do know of a certain someone that's high on the leaderboards that has been doing this, not gonna mention any names tho :p

It's good to see that we're taking further actions to crack down on unfair play outside the hacking spectrum. I'm glad to see what comes next.

How does one even manage to play on 1 account at the same time, shouldn't it be, 1 account one avatar? WHY DOES THIS EXIST!?

There seems to be some confusion. If players are multilogging on an account there are more ways to tell then just IPs. Our leaderboard includes times for games. If there are games that overlap and your lifespan makes it actually impossible to have been in both games without multilogging, it is punishable. Doesn't matter how good or bad the players involved are.

If a player is sitting in multiple different hubs on different regions, that is obviously not effecting the outcome of the leaderboards or any of the player's statistics. That, as of now, is not punishable. However, we are trying to find ways to prevent multilogging in general.

Any number more than 1. Anything that fits the description of what I posted above ^
