Hello Tributes,
When there are wins on the line, people get competitive, and that's okay: competition is the name of the game, so long as it's fair and acceptable. But when that competitiveness turns people towards illegal methods to gain an illegitimate advantage, that neither fair nor acceptable. And that's when the staff has to step in.
What has caused me to make a thread with that most cryptic of introductions? Something that was recently brought to my attention" a little thing called Multi-Logging.
Multi-Logging is considered the act of multiple players playing on a single account at the same time, and it has recently been found to be involved in win-boosting schemes. This usually occurs by two players playing on a single account in separate regions; the players then essentially play twice the games and double the wins otherwise possible by legitimate players. By combining elements of account sharing and win boosting, those multi-logging players have been able to gain wins at an impossible amount. But unluckily for them, multi-logging is very easy to identify.
Because of such a gross disadvantage this puts on legitimate players, Multi-Logging is hereby punishable under Win Boosting rules, and may be subject to reset stats and further bans.
We have our eye on several suspected multi-loggers, but they have a chance to lessen the punishment that awaits them should they help us. If those suspects come forward privately to a staff member before 5/14/2015, admit their offenses on their own accord, and then tell us how they were able to multi-log (that information can then be used to help the Developers patch the issue), their punishment will be reduced to something less severe.
I understand that competition drives MCSG, but that shouldn't mean we should tolerate unfair competition. Part of the fun comes not only from being the best, but from being the best through legitimate means.
Punishing those who try to cheat is pretty fun too, though...
Miscellaneous Notes:

Miscellaneous Notes:
- Win Boosting PSA is being planned right now. Expect that in the near future.
- Fair Play Notices will be a regular thing if people insist on using such unfair advantages. Please let this be the last one, let's all play fairly.
- Multi-Logging and Account Sharing are related, but will be treated very differently. Account Sharing (the simple act of sharing your one account, such as with a sibling or a friend) is not immediately punishable and is generally frowned upon due to the complications it creates. Multi-Logging is essentially Account Sharing where the multiple players are all playing at the same time. We will tolerate Account Sharing (so long as no suspicious, offensive, or boosting activity occurs), but we will not tolerate Multi-Logging.
