i've been looking for a new computer everywhere, custom built, and all are either great but missing something and/or cost to much. so i've decided to make my own computer using pcpartpicker and newegg. i built a computer on pcpart picker and i thought i'd show you guys what i got and since some people in this community are very knowledgable in computers, i thought i'd ask you guys.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tG9BXL

basically i'm asking if these are some good parts and if there's anything i could improve for not that much of a change in price. a guideline for helping me out are
  • i won't go over 1000 (i don't work fulltime due to school so funds are limited)
  • i do not need a optical drive, or any peripherals.
  • i do not need an expansion card but i do need/want a case fan.
thank you to those who choose to help me out c:
also im a bit of a noob when it comes to computer parts so don't yell if its a bad build

I have built a couple of computer myself and i can recommend you some parts.
I would recommending overclocking it and maybe giving it a GTX 970 but thats my personal choice, pm me if you want me to recommend/help you with things.

updated the link, made some changes to psu and cpu + deleted soundcard
Scrap that build completely. Geting an AMD CPU on a $1000 budget is ridiculous , especially an A10.

I suggest something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pPBWgs

You'll get an incredible amount of performance out of this build compared to yours.

The i5 will perform a lot better than any AMD CPU. If you want to get an unlocked, overclockable model you could go for an older (and faster) 4690k for about $20 more.

You don't need 16GB RAM, 8 is enough. If you don't need 16 for any particular reason, don't bother.

The GPU I chose is leaps ahead of the 950, and even performs better than the 970. I also reduced the case and PSU price, you don't need a fully modular PSU.

Also ditched the McAfee, Avast free is better if you really need an antivirus.

This puts the build around $970. If you need to cut down on the price a little, let me know. If you want to use the full $1000, you could put the rest into getting a 128gb SSD.

Errrhhhh the R9 390 doesn't perform better than a GTX 970...
