First of all, I'm glad that you are courageous enough to admit it, and be open about it.
I personally have nothing against gay people, as I was born in a city that's known for having a large gay population (Key West)
However, I am a Christian, and my opinion is that it's not something genetic, but rather a choice. I do not approve of being gay, but at the same time I'm not going to go out there and scold someone for being so.

I hate to be argumentative on this thread, but people are not gay of there own volition (or so it's thought). Here's an article that explains a current/recent theory:

My whole family are Christians but not heavy (like church etc) The only person that is annoying is my brother

For a community with about 5,000 members, you probably aren't the first gay member on the forums.

Anyways, it's pretty obvious we're mature enough to accept that you're gay. Which is good, because it's a natural thing, it's evident in hundreds of animal species. It's sad we're the only ones evident of homophobia.

I'm really hoping in the future though that we don't have to "come out" on a secret that's perfectly natural in hopes that we'll be accepted by society for who we are. That should be a given thing.

Good on you for finding friends that care though.

Eh, still doubt it. There probably were some, but they didn't flaunt it. Some were probably ignored or didn't make coming-out threads.

I feel bad now. I've used gay once or twice in the past without even thinking. I could care less a person's sexual preferences, and I'd be friends with anyone of any sexuality, I just didn't realize this upset people. Thanks for letting me know.
