No idea. I might do a bit of research as one of my friends at school works in the IT department and built his own computer from almost nothing. The motherboard was the only thing he didn't modify/make better. He's got an overclocked CPU and is going to overclocked his GPU. So he might be able to help me help you.
1st EDIT: I'm guessing you have a laptop that you use for gaming? Is it a notebook?
2nd EDIT: Also, what is your average frame-rate while playing MC/MCSG?
3rd EDIT:
Also also, my friend would highly recommend that you to download
SpeedFan, a program for Windows which measures your fan speeds, battery, up-time, and even core temperatures. Once you've downloaded it and installed it, run it. You might get a UAC window asking for authorization to access your computer. Enter a password if you need to and then hit 'OK'. The program will run itself.
After it's loaded it will give you the temperatures for you GPU, Cores, etc. Keep it open, and run Minecraft. Play for quite a while on MCSG, and tell me how hot your temperatures get. I manually accelerated mine, but I don't recommend it since I'm not a professional programmer and now have to turn the laptop up-side-down to cool it after playing BF4 or HAWX. If I don't my computer just cuts out and won't let me turn it on for another hour or so. ;P
