Please quote anywhere they put a due date.
Do you seriously want me to look through pages of Posts?
Whatever happened to in-game records?
Achievements?
Saying soon isn't having to wait a few months.

The Valleyside item dropping glitch, the problem was solved just says after the release, yet we still had to wait almost a month for the actual fix.

Well, if you want to support your statement... yes I do want you to.

Achievements are implemented in the games now.

Even if the code is fixed, they do have to schedule a date to implement the update to all servers, and it's better to do so when there are multiple updates. This is why maps tend to be added in groups instead of seperately.

Yes, over 4 months after. They said it was ready in Feburary, and it got implemented at the end of April.

Stop the almost-flaming please.

Achievements- incomplete due to devs working on other things like stabilizing the plugin.
Tournaments- needs stabilized plugin or else people will complain that "the plugin made them lose".
Gamemasters- been done since like day one...
New maps- New maps were added and people do play them often... saying that "private surveys" back this statement up and that statement up is redundant if there is no data to confirm the survey and if the survey was private... If you are trying to prove a point to better the whole community, having a private survey among specific people with already known opinions on the situation would make the data inaccurate and the poll useless. It's like wondering if the community likes soccer and going to the community soccer team asking for each player to take a "private survey".

For the past few months it's been a fighting battle for stability. When one thing is fixed, minecraft updates and breaks more things. When things were fixed, features like achievements were worked on and released. Since things became broken again, those features were put on hold. If you wonder why it's taking so long to work on things, wonder how hard it is for 3 or 4 people to work on something WHILE dealing with extremely busy lives. 3 of our devs are students working to have a good future. One of our dev RUNS his own company. Yes he owns it and has to deal with it's problems as well as this community's. The devs don't "sit around and eat pretzels", they live their own lives and work on making the community happy when they have time. You need to realize that they do not spend all their time working on MCSG. In addition to that, coding requires work.

ZedChase was made when the plugin was working decently well and they had a good idea and wanted to take action on it. It was put on hold to work on MCSG. If you would like to know why all these features were taking so long, it's because they HAVE priorities. Things need to work before other things can be worked on.

The reason why creative isn't up is because the person previously managing it, was promoted and not only that, has a real life outside of MCSG. Not only does Bic now have to deal with the problems of the real world, but he has to deal with issues within the MCSG staff. Let me tell you, from what I've seen, this is no walk in the park. He works really hard and you should let him set his own priorities. Survival was put on hold because the people who were working on it, were working on Feed the Beast due to high demands.

Everyone in the MCSG staff has a real life that they have to put before a game. We each have our own separate issues and problems to deal with daily, whether it be school, work, personal problems or anything else. You need to understand that we are trying to make the game fun and enjoyable for you guys, but we have to do it on our own time and our own energy.

Edit:

Stop the almost-flaming please.
He is not flaming, he is counteracting your points. It's what you do in a controversial discussion.

Thanks for that. That's the information we need to know instead of pondering around :p

Thanks for clearing that up. Sometimes, we need to create a thread just to get some answers.

Like I always state, we need a behind the scenes doc on what our devs face every day. Some things take longer than what we have hoped for but you have to understand that MC itself has been proven a challenge as making things stable in an already unstable environment has been proven a challenge.

-Achievements: Completed, but where are those forum badges which FinsGraphics were hard at work at? Source is here
Yes this has been tracked but our web system to display it has not been done. We needed to have this recent update be in place so we can actually finish this part of the feature. I expect this to happen within the next month or so to see your badges on your user profile. Just for now use /a to view all of your achievements.

Tournaments with REAL PRIZES: Half completed. We have the Arena Competition currently on, but I think that they community were thinking more of ' PvP' Tournaments.
We want to perfect an anti cheat solution before jumping to a tournament system. We coded something for it but don't want to activate it until we know we can block people from cheating. We have some methods we been developing that could solve this but we need to test it first.

-Deathmatch Arenas: Incompleted: From my research, it was to be random maps which the community could create to be used for a deathmatch. This would result in more exciting end-games, as you never know which map you could be teleported into, and what tactic you would have to use. This has not happened. When will it happen?
This actually has been complete via code wise, just no maps currently to support it. Map makers, if you want a special DM arena, just make one within the same file in the arena map file!

Game Masters: Incompleted: From my understanding, these were meant to be moderators who could spice up the game a bit. e.g: /fireworks would send a firework at each players location. They would be limited to 2 'Master' commands per game. This has not happened. When will it happen?
This has and was a feature mainly for our staff and not the general public. I have never heard of this /firework command but thank you for the suggestion. We may add that in a future update.

New Maps: Completed: These maps were added, but they aren't played and they are wasting server storage space. They aren't played, so why are they here? I haven't played in-game for a while, but from memory there were something like 20 maps a few weeks ago. What get's played? Breeze, SG4, Random, Random, Breeze, SG4, Random, Random. Why don't we make it random. From a short private survey, over 70% of players asked wanted random selection instead of voting.
We asked about the voting and random was voted down almost instantly. We actually had a recent vote that we put in effect last update to make the map repeat threshold up to 4. Just that some maps are more popular than others but adding in new maps this weekend will help provide more variety.

I quote ' *Coming soon after stability updates*. So your saying that it took 5 months of stability updates to add Achievements?
- MCSGv2 re-written from the ground up: There's a saying which goes ' You don't need to fix it if it isn't broken'. MCSGv1 had a few bugs. The only one noticeable was the Phantom Fire, every other bug rarely affected players. Coming into MCSGv2, we have had tons of bugs, and we get this message every time someone inquires about it:
'We are working on it. Please don't panic or worry as it will be over soon.'
Well, I'm sorry, but it's been 5 months. I highly doubt the Dev team have been sitting around eating pretzels all day, but seriously.
We still have over 20 noticeable bugs, which happen every game. We still have issues on MCSG, but yet the Developers are busy making a new game-mode ( Zedchase). Priorities people!
Again back to the reason why I wish you see how many hours a week our devs put in for MCSG. We have currently 2 full time active devs with 2 "on demand" developers for help. Recently with this new update, we been all hands on deck and actively working on MCSG. If you noticed, ZedChase had been left dormant because of the recent changes of MCSG as MCSG is always our number 1 priority. Also something you don't factor is that our main devs have a job and go to school. So yes, some things may take longer because of it, but we have all IRL lives outside of MC that do take away time. Trust me, if I can snap my fingers to make everything better in a heartbeat, I would. Just MCSG and Java just take time to solve issues, and you should understand that.

Nope, maybe twice. Sue me for saying something that was already said. I was just emphasizing it.
*Sues* xP

And thankyou Chad. I like it when I post my rant threads, they always get a response answering all my questions from Senior Staff, and therefore clearing up any problems or issues that myself or others have had :D
