The Toggle Sneak Debate and Why it Should be Allowed

Lol, I simply stated that there IS a difference between using it and not, for example I can't reach the "6" button while sprint, while someone who would use that mod could. I'm not saying that's it's that much of a notable difference, but there definitely is a very small iny tiny advantage when using it.

The advantage you are arguing with is completely invalid. Someone with extremely large hands will have the same "advantage" that you are bringing up. So what would we do then? Ban all players with large hands? Of course not, that would be silly. The "advantage" you brought up honestly surprised me, because I would not expect you to make such a useless remark. This mod also does not do the same thing that Better Sprint did, because it does not provide any sort of advantage over any player. Better sprint was used back on 1.6, when there was no sprint key. The reason Better Sprint was detectable is because your sprint would not stop when you would hit an entity, which was not possible without the use of the mod, giving the player using the mod a distinct advantage over all other players that had to double tap W. So Harris|DareDevilMan1 made a useless point as well.

Honestly the only advantage this gives is not having to hold down the sprint key which in my opinion does not make a slight difference. The first time I tried using Toggle Sneak it was very hard to get used to being that I was accustomed to holding down the sprint key for so long. I have fought many players who don't have it and the pvp aspect of it does not change one slight bit. If you think this is one of those mods that gives a huge advantage it is exactly like the Optifine zoom that is used to locate and find players easier. Obviously MCSG does not care about most of their players and since this is the only post like this I doubt they will do anything but in all honesty if you want to bring this server to something it used to be actually try to follow other servers and figure out why they get twice as much players until you finally realize you have been doing something wrong. Also without Optifine, F3+A would not be possible because there is no option to disable fog. Using Optifine gives MORE of an advantage than toggle sneak because of this. Finding players through unloaded chunks is way more useful than MAYBE being able to hit one extra key that is hardly ever used.

But still, with some way if the server detected you had BSM you would get kicked.

I would hardly call his information useless. Maybe useless to you, but there are obviously two sides to this discussion. Good on him for voicing the unpopular opinion, even if it is a minor detail. Sometimes, even when you agree with someone, it is good to be the one to produce the cons or the reverse side so you can achieve the best outcome in the end.

This thread would be the farthest thing from achieving the best outcome. But of course I don't feel like typing for 30 minutes to express my opinion, which would most likely be supported by many members of the community.

It isn't. You are interpreting it wrong. No server can tell the difference (in movement packets) between bsm and sprint key.

Not true considering players can literally fly 50 blocks using flight. I really do want to argue with someone who is uneducated on this topic, so by all means, reply.
