Community Poll: Leaderboards Reset with Newest Update?

PRESTIGE
Maybe a prestige system could be implemented. Every 100 wins or something you would move up a prestige rank so you would be competing against a fewer amount of people that have similar skill level to you for the top rank in the prestige level you are on. If this could be implemented into a matchmaking system as well that would be INSANE!! Instead of versing really skilled or not so skilled players you verse people just above or just below your skill level in a match. Just a suggestion and I realize it would be incredibly hard to implement but if it happened it would be Awesome.
CLAN LEADER BOARDS
Some people may be against it but if regional clan leader boards came out that were run by the MCGamer network I think that would bring a whole lot of competitive action to the game. With the new spectator mode said to be released as well as dedicated servers for clan battles to take place, if these games were live streamed or recorded I believe this would attract a large audience. If we gave people the ability to choose their favorite clan and maybe even there favorite players to support and cheer on I personally believe that would be great.
REGIONAL LEADER BOARDS
Like there is in the AU hub with all the heads on the wall representing the regions top players, if this could be brought out in all regions not only with the heads in the hub but on the leader boards i reckon that would be pretty cool. If people were split into the region that they predominantly play on to see the top players that are in your region and how you rank against them this would make for some pretty fierce competition. At the moment you have to rank yourself against people you cannot really properly verse as there is a connection advantage to someone in say US if they are versing someone that lives in AU or EU.

Merely suggestions but I think these ideas would be awesome!

As for what is proposed in the poll. When I heard about it by word of mouth I was completely against it and didn't want it at all. After reading the thread I think this would be a good idea. The argument of people losing their hard work is nothing to worry about as they will still be there and saved on the Legacy Leaderboards.

What about people who have a good ratio's and want to continue working on them, they will all be reset.

Their old ratios will still be saved in Legacy and they can continue to grow or even get better stats in the new leaderboards

Yeah but as I've stated what about people like me who have worked hard to get high on the leaderboards, I had the patience to get to #20 and to have it permanently frozen at #20 I'd be mega disappointed as I want to climb higher...

People are gonna say they will quit if the reset happens, but honestly only 5% at most will leave.

Maybe, but think about the people with 1000+ or 750+ wins they have played for ages to get to where they are today.

Oh my god the inner conflict is so real for me right now.

I've played a little less than 3000 games, the first 500 of which were played on a crappy laptop making 30 fps at best on minimum setting and around 300 ping. I got 3, that's right, 3, wins, out of my first ~500 games. However, I got better internet, and recently a better PC, my stats are now about 325/2950. So I'm not the best player, but I'm proud of turning around my absolutely dismal records.

So on one side, I have a chance to start fresh and hopefully get a better ratio, but it was hard work reversing my stats. I don't want that legacy to go to waste. I voted no for old times sake. However, I've been playing on these servers since December 2012. That's a long-ass time, and maybe it is time for change.

The community will decide.

Um, hey guys im just wrighting a complaint about how the stats are going to be reset.
Ever since I started playing MCSG I thought it was a fantastic server. It was fun to play on, the gameplay was fab and the people were nice. (back then)
I heard that the leaderboards were being reset, why would this be a good idea. It will break a lot of peoples hearts because they work rly friken hard for there stats, the overpowering population of nubs are voting yes for the leaderboads to be reset becuase they don't know how to play very well. I find this very dumb because you will get much more money if you dont reset the leaderboards because they will pay money for it.
I'm just saying I just hit 220 wins and im Ultimate Fishing Rod Of Doom proud of it. Now your just gonna reset it? Im literally on the verge of crying right now.
Please dont reset the stats, it would mean the world to me and many other people of the mcsg community.

I beleive that if they actually do reset the leaderboards there will still be an option to see the old leaderboard. Anyway, nothing is sure yet, they are just gathering opinions with the strawpoll.

You have worked hard to get to #20 and that's really awesome! With the new system you would always be #20 and known as one of the best. You said that you want to climb higher and if you are still working just as hard then it should be more competitive and challenging to do it with new leaderboards. Either way my decision isn't the one that decides so we will just have to see how the votes go.

But we also acknowledge that some people may wish to continue using the statistics they have been building up for the last 2+ years. Do note that if we continued to use the old statistics, we would not be able to add in new things to track.

As Col_StaR has stated we won't be able to make changes possible if we kept the old stats. Yes it would be sad to see these records we have been building up over the past 2 years disappear, but as he as stated multiple times they will be moved to "Legacy Leaderboards" which will allow you to view and show off your old stats. Resetting the stats may allow us to add leaderboards for more gametypes and even maybe clan leaderboards. So yes it will be sad to see these stats go, but I believe it is for the better.

He wants to climb higher. The only thing a reset would bring for him is more challenges from boosters.
