Update Time!
I Finished: Old Man and the Seas by Ernest Hemingway. This book is a little odd. It's written from the third person perspective, but the grammatical structure used is very different from most books nowadays, and the incredibly small use of commas can make the reading experience a little odd. That said, it was very enjoyable (and short), and also is a book that I think you come to appreciate more with time.
I'm Reading: Catch 22 (still) by Joseph Heller. Very good so far, the book's just incredibly long. I really love the use of double-logic, which Catch 22 itself is. (I think 1984's term doublethink may apply here).
I'm Also Reading: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I'm reading this for a elective course I'm taking on dystopian literature, but that doesn't make a difference. This book is quite the page turner, and it's also not very long (don't be fooled by the book's thickness, about half of that is extra material talking about the author, etc.) My only issue is that his writing style and heavy use of metaphors and similes makes it almost pretentious feeling, but not quite.
I Recommend: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. This is a book that's not altogether a happy one, and it gets incredibly dark at times, so I wouldn't suggest it if you're faint of heart. However, it was still incredibly engaging and interesting. It's a book that makes you think.
The sole and only reason I still use these forums and still play MCSG is because of the community, so I want to see this communities thoughts on various subjects. I've seen music, TV, and movie threads before, so how is this any different?

I Finished: Catch 22 (finally). This book is the longest I've read in a while. Man it was good though. The heavy reference to sex throughout was a bit offputting, and could be likened to the use of fanservice in anime, but still overall was a brilliant experience laden with humor and serious tones and hilarious double logic. One thing that made me sad is that they did something that I can't mention because I don't know how to spoiler tag but it made it a little depressing.
