How forgiving, you want to give the staff bunnies!
Man, swear filters are great.
In the end, people can kick and scream all they want, but nothing's really gonna happen. Why did people get all worked up about staff in the first place? I'm legitimately curious to find out the true origin of discontent with staff.
I'm pretty sure some of the first things that got people worked up were the bans of Canziano and hawk62 and things around that time. Not completely sure.
I think the staff have made a lot of wrong choices, but so has the community. There have been a lot of unfair bans over time, some that still haven't been corrected or took a longer time than it should have to get resolved, but people are dealing with it the wrong way. The way most people have been doing it recently is by trying to start a sort of barbaric 'civil war' rather than attempting a civilized discussion with the administration.
And I am aware that people often try to talk to the staff, and another big issue is that the staff often don't listen. I know that extremely often I've poked staff members on teamspeak to deal with some issue, and they've pretended they were busy. People have talked to me about how they asked a staff member for help, the staff member said they were busy, and then the person that poked the staff member saw him in the next server he went into.
And this happens even more often, people will try to tell the admins something, and then whoever they try to talk to will redirect them to the right person (I think it shouldn't matter who they try to talk to, even if it's something that someone else is supposed to be specializing in at MCSG), and then the person that they are redirected to more or less ignores them, either legitimately just ignoring it or by saying they're busy or something of the sorts.
The staff have often said they will try to solve this issue by getting more ways to get the message to the staff, and they did that, but that didn't help people that were getting ignored after the message was sent.
Another thing that bugs me a lot about the staff is that they defend themselves significantly more than is necessary, and often don't even try to solve the issue. I will often see staff members, of all ranks, saying things like "It wasn't our fault" or "We are already working towards a solution" and other things along those lines, specified for the various situations.
Anyways, that was more of a staff related rant so I'm gonna try and balance it out by going a bit against the community too. People are constantly making threads about how the staff are making mistakes and how issues are popping up everywhere. The staff can't be perfect, and will almost definitely make mistakes. That doesn't mean you have to make a bunch of drama about it and get everyone stressed out about something unimportant! Like I said above, the best way to deal with it is to go directly to the staff.
Ninja Edit: Also, I've found that clans are one of the biggest contributor to drama. Not specific clans, just the generalization of clans causing way too much drama among themselves and when they get angry at certain things.
