Corruption in staff?

Hey guys before I start my little mini-rant and discussion on possible corruption on the MCSG servers between some staff I just want to just state a major point. This is just a friendly discussion, personal opinions, and no way should be taken harshly to any people involved in this discussion.

So in every game, company, or whatever group you're apart of there is always a bit of corruption. There is no perfect group that doesn't have or had gone through corruption so doesn't MCSG count as well? Normal Player: No MCSG is perfect, ILY Bowser! (Inside joke) Player who thinks: Maybe behind closed doors time to time.

So here's my opinion on this subject. Being apart of the AU community it's quiet small so of course there will be a lot of gossip and the community is so bunched up you just have a bit of gosp and hate to everyone, staff member and known players. Now after personally hearing some upfront corrupted talk between a player and his clan members including a staff member (will not name) I can already say yes mcsg at least AU's side has some corruption which takes a huge tole to a lot some idiotic bans (my opinion) that have taken place because of a certain someone, you know who you are staff member.

So after that, my question to you guys is. Do you think you're community AU/US/EU/CA in MCSG has some corruption in it? Have you seen any corruption? Please feel free to say it here because I bet some of you have been asking this question to yourself once or twice.

As a staff member - and I am not saying this in a biased way - I have never seen corruption from the staff. The only reason people think this way is because of various incidents that have swayed the public opinion of the staff throughout the community. I also want to add in that the staff is human and does make mistakes, as we all do.

US doesn't seem like a corrupted community really, from personal experience they're all quiet nice but I can't say much from my experience with the AU community.....

Like throughout the course of history it has been proven that nobody is perfect as you said. MCSG is no exemption from that however we try our hardest to keep the servers as corruption free and community based as we possibly can.

Hmm. Well, I used to say similar things: "Oh, MCSG has some corrupt staff members."
However, after reading your title, I realized something. It's not that the staff members are corrupt, it's simply that they're ignorant, or that they make mistakes often. Unfair bans? Many of them were mistakes made because the Moderator simply did not take the time to look at the proper punishment and dish that out, or had been mistaken when they were dealing out bans.
Now, there's at least two different types of "unfair" punishments. Over-exaggerated punishments, such as a 7-day ban for avoiding the swear filter, or an unfair punishment, such as a ban for evidence that was insufficient.
In the former, either the person was biased when banning, or misinformed/mistaken and they believed that they were dealing the appropriate punishment.
In the latter, often it can be seen as the person simply being incompetent. I don't mean to say that MCG staff members are incompetent, but... actually, nevermind, yeah, I have to admit that I personally believe some are. I know plenty who aren't, but I have also seen a few who weren't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. A little too many tackles in football, perhaps.

I think that you, sir, just contradicted yourself. xD
You're saying that you're seeing things from the staff point of view. Being unbiased would mean that you look at the situation from either a completely neutral angle or from both player and staff POV.

The only problem is that Sr. Staff is just as viable to make mistakes, everyone does. So the only thing we can do is learn from them and overcome them.
