I really can't tell whether that's a compliment or not, but thanks...? xD

Okay, well, I had several ideas of what to write while reading the thread, but by the time I actually got to the bottom of the page I think I forgot most of them, so I'll write whatever I can remember.

- I've been present when some new staff members were hated on. Either recent promotions to Sr. Mod, or maybe new Moderators. I can remember it happening months ago, but it always seems to fade after a week or three. Certain promotions such as Lively's were so-called "community-approved", which I guess means that the forumers and rumor-spreaders approved, and I for one have been expecting it for quite some time. Others, however, (no names), have tons of rumors afoot. There's the traditional "Oh, this person sucked up to these people to get this rank!" and then there's also "WTF? So and so definitely doesn't deserve Mod!" blah blah blah. It happens all the time, I hope that eventually the community will learn to promotions that they don't like, or that MCGamer will start picking promotions that the community likes. 2MuchDrama IMO.

- Sometimes, people are promoted for specific reasons. (This is from my point of view, feel free to add on to or correct me if you see something incorrect. This paragraph thingy will be mainly focusing on Sr. Mods.) I know of a few Sr. Mods who excel at tasks such as answering forum threads, general questions, quelling rumors, or general community management - These are the Senior Mods that I generally see around the forums, and I recognize them. While other Sr. Mods specialize in handling ban disputes, helping new Moderators, and doing behind-the-scenes work like subtly managing Mod meetings, and other work that the average player of forumer is not generally privy to - basically, they aren't really aware of how much those Sr. Mods do, and these are usually the Sr. Mods that I see rumors about.

Next topic thingy! (ffs, google chrome keeps lagging when I try to type :c It's so tough.)
- Staff should be more open to criticism topic
I'm going to say that I personally agree with this statement.
Don't get me wrong - I understand that taking criticism is never easy to take, but the staff members should be responsible, capable people who are capable of taking criticism, both good and bad.
However, the criticism should be constructive and helpful. Something that a lot of people don't do, when they should, is ask themselves this: Is it helpful?

I have to go walk a dog so I can't finish this post :c
It is a compliment ;)

I honestly believe that around 70% of the staff are incredible, 25% decent and 5% just blatant awful. Fortunately for me, I treat them all well and maturity and in turn, receive it back. When you get to know them personally, you learn that they are just regular people like us, only with an extra responsibility on their hands. Regular people MAKE MISTAKES especially ones with more to do. The public hate on staff is unfair and merely wrong. I won't be mentioning names but I have seen some staff that definitely do things that they should not be able to (such as adding stupid rules or banning people for rules not stated in the rules section of the forums.) Ie. One has made a rule against others utilizing their skin, punishable by permanent ban. One spreads rumors about other staff ruining their relationships with them. One which I will name was a serious burden to the community but helped show off the responsibility of the staff here. Shannrbanannr dealt unfair bans for targeting several times most of which were false; she was promptly demoted. Recently, she has gained a well deserved permanent-ban, ending her unpleasant time here. It shows the responsibility of senior staff to demote and ban at times anyone who deserves it. Overall, I believe most of the staff to do a great job and expect nothing less.
I would like to provide credit to those I feel deserve it most below:

The amount of rage and rumors spread today with the new promotions is unbelievable. A great friend of mine yesterday was permed and ip banned simply for showing these rumors.
Un-be-leavable

Also the amount of secret bitching today at the Sydney meetup whilst chad wasn't looking was shocking

Erm....I think if you went all the way down there to meet specifically with the leader of MCGamer, you'd be entitled to a few choice words to his face (within reason of course - not very much no fisticuffs). My entire time spent in the RL presence of a senior staff member of MCSG will most likely be lobbying for my specific suggestions or having philosophical debates over how moderators are to punish and how they're trained.

Remember - Anything not done on an MCG server such as TeamSpeak or Forums or ingame is not evidence for a ban... Including IRL. xD Although I'm not saying you should do this.

Pfft.... I'd make a ring on the floor out of salt and wrestle Ava . I'd probably end up ten-hearting Chad if he wore his Catching Fire tribute suit. That thing isn't the most airy in places, I'd imagine.

That rule doesn't apply (in fact, no rules apply in this case) when Chad does a ban, considering he is the owner and does have final say over anything and everything that happens here ;)

(Although I doubt he'd ban for ridiculous reasons because, well, that'd be stupid.. just pointing out that even if we can't, he can if he wants to.)

Well I wasn't gonna openly say to his face what I thought about the staff decisions/promotions recently. I'm not that type of guy.
