So our gaming experience has improved a lot in 10 years. 10 years ago, there were kids who would play on their Game Boy and everyone would've been amazed to see a Game Boy Color come out. Now, here we are in the present, we have our PS4, X-Box One, Gaming PCs, even an Oculus Rift has come out! (Screw Nintendo xD) What awaits us in the future though? What type of gaming experience will we have in the future? This is what I want you to put down, your thoughts and opinions on how gaming may revolutionize in a decade or so.

I hope that gaming can become something like a NerveGear. If you don't know what a NerveGear is, it's basically a device similar to the Oculus Rift. The only difference is that it transmits your whole body to the game itself, kinda like transportation, but your body is still in the human world. You fight with your own movements, you eat with your own movements, and more. Personally, I would love it if a NerveGear can become an actual thing instead of a device only in an anime show (Sword Art Online). I mean, how cool would it be playing GTAV with a NerveGear?

So put your opinions and thoughts down! I'm really interested to see what the community wants in the future of gaming.

I feel it'll be quite similar in the near future, nothing crazy. I don't want it to be like that, like a NerveGear, or OculusRift...I really like the way gaming is now, and I'd like it to stay like that. I game for competition, (mostly), and I feel that will take the competition out of it. Don't worry, I have fun while I game as well xD

As much as the idea of using nerve-gear sounds awesome, I couldn't imagine the keyboard and mouse or console controller becoming obsolete. I could imagine this for many other games such as Street Fighter, or Tekken. (That would be so cool)
However, the mouse and keyboard is far superior to everything in modern day games, that the only change to it that I could see is touchscreen mechanics on a keyboard which connect and integrate with the game.

A NerveGear wouldn't exactly be safe, would it? I mean, sending electronic charges to and from the brain directly, isn't that kinda risky?

But even if it is possible to make something similar to a NerveGear and better than an Oculus Rift it would be amazing, I just don't trust the electronic charges getting sent around my nerves...

I think gaming will probably lean towards console gaming in the future. Most PCs aren't enough for the demanding graphics games have now. They're just becoming too expensive. So I think people will want to use more consoles in the future.

But I think consoles will begin to get more like computers in a way. The mouse is a fun way to aim, and having a mechanic like it for a console game would be amazing. As for keyboards; well, I think PC games have too many buttons already, but I think some games could benefit from a keyboard.
