Think of it also like this say we did give ranks to people for making a map. How do we know who helped build it, there friends will be screaming going "we helped, we helped" and we have to assume that they did help and give them a rank. So then we would have people with ranks they don't deserve, then you would think just give rank the "lead" builder, but then what about the people who helped they wouldn't get any credit. And it would lead to massive fights ect. The answer is no, there will be no rank for this.

Are you saying that it'll be too much work? For those who've built on a map in days, -maybe weeks, there will be too much work to give them a fair reward regarding how hard they've worked?

Anyway, mapmakers still deserve some kind of reward. The rank thing was just an idea.
To increase the involvement among good builders in the community, builders who've participated and worked hard on making a map should receive more than just an empty-handed "Your map is now on the servers". A blue name, their name on a list on the main page, or something like that, -they deserve something.

It is not up to me nor any other members of the community to decide what they should receive, and if they should receive anything at all, -it's the moderators, senior moderators and admins job. But as members of the community we should look at things from our perspective, and we should influence matters that catches our interest and is important to us.

I guess if you look at it that way, you guys really have no idea on who actually made the map. Granted I still think that mapmakers still should get some sort of reward, but you guys would have no idea if that reward is legit. Since this thread is heading the same direction as the last one, go ahead and lock it.
