Map makers should get some reward.

Imagine there wasn't any communtiy maps here. No Breeze Island. Yes, you heard me. No Breeze Island...
No Teweran SG, no Solar Frost. Mapmakers make maps for this community for free, without any reward at all except having your map on the servers. The mapmakers are an important part of the community, and I don't understand why it should be too hard for them to have some blue names. Mods, Senior Mods and Admins has got red names, VIP's has got purple names. Even donours have got their own name colour tag, why shouldn't community map makers also get a coloured name?

Do not take it for granted that the servers will be fed with good community maps. People does it for free.
Why not just give them a blue name? Look at TeamElite. A building team of some of the best builders in the TIMV and MCSG community. They work hard everyday to make maps. The main builders of a map should recieve something to be proud off. Something that tells everybody: "I was a part of building a community map."
Give them the reward they deserve, as one of the most creative, artistic and important parts of the community.

I doubt a map like that would get accepted, -if it was made by the purpose of getting a blue name.

It was Nolam who said that and we had a moderator meeting including it where it was denied. I'm not saying it couldn't be reconsidered but that it was denied before and for those reasons. This is why i said,

I was thinking along the lines of, if people would have something to gain from spending countless hours making a map, more people would do it. Granted, their map would have to get accepted. I just think some sort of reward would encourage more builders to work on maps for mcsg. Without community maps, we would not be the community we are today. A reward tends to motivate people to spend more time on things, to make them the best they can possibly make it.

This community could have very high quality maps this way I think. Out of thousands of people who are on these servers, at least some of them must have a knack at building. This thread was just a suggestion, I'm not trying to change the rules or anything, I just kinda wanted the idea looked at. I did not see the other thread out there. I searched for one but I could not find it. Either way, I just want to get my thoughts out about this topic.

Think of it also like this say we did give ranks to people for making a map. How do we know who helped build it, there friends will be screaming going "we helped, we helped" and we have to assume that they did help and give them a rank. So then we would have people with ranks they don't deserve, then you would think just give rank the "lead" builder, but then what about the people who helped they wouldn't get any credit. And it would lead to massive fights ect. The answer is no, there will be no rank for this.

Also there would be way to many ranks and If you make it free iron donor from the server or something it still wouldn't show that you build a map.
