If you have ever played with a person of "fame" on the servers, you know that most of the time, the majority of the lobby are fans. It seems that recently, major YouTubers have been experiencing much targeting due to the fact that their purple names stand out in the chat. This obviously discourages the YouTubers from creating MCSG content for their channels.

So I'm here to suggest something that can put an end to this. Some people remember a while back when VIPs had the ability to use /nick in order to make themselves very difficult to find. This command was abused, therefore, the command was removed. I suggest we create a new command called /Invisible (/invis for short) that allows VIPs to make their in-game character invisible to other players, makes them not appear on /list, and makes them not appear when you press tab.

Now you may say that this command is not MCSG's highest priority at this time, and I can agree with that. In response to this, however, we have a command that already works much like this. This command is /gamemaster. All that technically has to be done is take some of the abilities that people in gamemaster have, and put them in the /invis command. These features would be the things stated in the previous paragraph. Obviously, the major difference between /gamemaster and /invis would be that /invis would expire the moment the game begins in order to make the players seen and killed like anyone else.

So, what do you people think? I personally think this would be a great command that is an alternative to /nick that would allow YouTubers to record without the burden of being targeted before the game even starts. Feedback is always appreciated on a new idea, so you better leave some!

Great suggestion, looking further to MCSG to actually apply this.

I like the idea of the command, and if it does disappear before the game begins then there isn't a way to abuse it.

A command that could make your name color the same as a normal member would be better IMO.
I think /Invis would be Abused (Somehow xD)

Making the color different works for mods as their usernames aren't as well known. If Tomahawk's name was green people would still notice.

You have a point, But most fan boys don't do /list or press tab to check if there Favourite You Tubers are In-Game.
As long as Tomahalk doesn't talk, No one would know.
The odd game someone would find out but....
