it might and im pretty sure this is how you get over 60fps you must allocate more memory its basically the same concept...

I get about 100fps with 1G allocated, so pretty siked to see what results this will give me.
Edit: Changed to 4GB, it's really nice, the launcher loads the game within a second, and changing texture packs is so much faster.
Also, on far:
Goood good good, and it's only using 18% of the allocated memory ^.^!
Waited for it to run more memory, now I'm getting 200fps! Wow, best in my life!
