Okey, so for example the voting is:

Map 1: 11
Map 2: 9
Map 3: 5

Now imagine you're one of the people who voted for map 3.

You don't like map 1, you'd rather 2 over it if map 3 was not going to win.

So, give people a chance to vote again, so you'd do /vote 2.

Problems it solves:
  • People accidentally voting for the wrong map (linked to a thread I saw in this forum).
  • People who would prefer a map over another even through the other one they have won't win (which I explained above if you don't understand).
Problems it creates:
  • I don't know, maybe huge groups of people can change the voting to a different map just when it starts to troll players.
But what if players abused it and kept switching their votes to cause confusion?
Quite simply, you can only use the command '/vote' twice, so it cannot be abused.

Already been posted. The answer was no. You have 5 minutes to make a decision.

Hey, I was writing this up a few days ago and had just noticed that other 'unvote' suggestion, still worth suggesting because it's not exactly the same. I'm asking to have the ability to /vote twice, not to unvote or anything.

A small idea, but yes that would be helpful. #Command /unvote ;3

Unvoting is a bit un-nessasary as the player will most likely pick a different one, revoting basically.

I believe a second vote would only be useful in the wake of a tie vote, and the lobby would eliminate the map with the least amount of votes and create a second poll with only the 2 maps that remain. I believe that an instence such as the one i just mentioned would be the only possible scenario to have a revote implemented into. :)

I was thinking about that when I thought about revoting, it would work better but it would cause a bit of confusion for new players.

Agreed. Which is why the server just chooses a map at random.
