All my friends have it on their iPad. It looks okay but Minecraft is alot better, at least on the PC.
Don't let the iPad version influence a decision to buy it on steam or something. Just like Minecraft, the mobile version has nothing on the PC version.

In my personal opinion, Terraria (on the PC) would be a fantastic buy for $30. At $2, I see absolutely no reason you shouldn't spend the pocket change to at least try it.

If you're going to buy it, though, do keep in mind it's not a focused sandbox game like Minecraft - it's all about adventuring, action, etc. The early game has some things you could compare to Minecraft, like mining, your first night against zombies, needing torchs, "food", tools and all that by then...but after the early game, anyone who mistakes it as a Minecraft copy really needs to actually watch it for like 5 seconds to see just how different it really is.

Don't make the mistake of missing out on Terraria because it's an inferior Minecraft copy...it's not. At all. It's something completely different that really deserves all the credit it's given. No matter how much you've played Minecraft, Terraria is by no means an inferior experience of the same thing...
Terraria is it's own game. Treat it as one, or miss out on something amazing.

I wouldn't have spent hundreds of hours on the game if it was at all similar to Minecraft. Trust me. Soon enough, you'll forget Minecraft even exists for weeks at a time as the game consumes what little bit of a thing called a "life" that you had left. ;D

Dude, it's $2. Who cares? I'd only care if it was a Thomas Jefferson $2 bill (which exists but is fairly rare since they stopped minting it).

Never heard of Terraria before. Is there a Steam equivalent for PCs if it's solely an app?

I have it on iPad, and even if it's "worse" it's still awesome!

My brother's play it, and apparently my entire clan plays it together. I don't really bother to play it though. I'll stick with my five video game addictions. Minecraft, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Pokemon, Mario Kart, and Mario Strikers. No room for anything else.
