I think adding in the need for thirst to make the games that little more realistic to the games and make it more risky as you need to find a lake/water bottles in a chest to fill up in the lake.

You dont a client side mod to add it. Look at the MineZ servers. No special client needed. Its a cool idea but i rather not. Great idea though!

Well MineZ used the current XP GUI for thirst but what if you want to make a new one like maybe below the hunger bar

it could quite easily just be inside of chat to tell you how much percentage of thirst you have like 100% being you dont need to drink and start getting damage like with the hunger bar after 25% of thirst

Why not have a /thirst command if we can't have a new HUD for it
Have regular notifications on your thirst would also be good (5 intervals)
