We should be able to create team chats for us and friends so we can talk in private, with the exclusion of staff, so we can communicate more effectively.

I understand that but for people that dont want to talk via voice chat.

If you don't have a mic, TS and skype are not feasible options for easy, in game communication. I think this would be great for the players without mics.

2. You can /msg to your friend
3. You can't really hear people from far so talking in normal chat will still be ok

/msg works? I didnt know that was a command.

I dont think non-staff can use it because it didnt work for me, but /msg is good but it takes time to execute, my idea would be a channel for you and your team that only you and they can see.

That is a bad idea, other layers should be able to hear if a team is talking nearby. Like irl...
