The developers are working on fixing lag issues on that map so there is still a chance that it will stay on the servers but yes, it is planned to be removed.

Hopefully it will stay Normally I would have suggested to add some actual terraforming to the lava because right now it's really boring 1 block deep, but that would just make things worse lag wise so no way would I ever want that

You could easily just go up onto a mountain drop some lava and most of the map won't be accessible. It can ruin the map for most players.

It does definitely cause client lag, which is the reason Demon's Breeze is being removed. The reason it wouldn't lag you is because you either have a good computer or you have your sound turned down.

I used to love putting a water bucket on top of the pyramid in Kharmunrah and watching it fall down all the stairs, it's a shame that they stopped the buckets.
