Sponsor item changes

A few of the sponsor items we have now are almost completely useless. Like the raw porkchop. It restores 1.5 hunger unless you can cook it, which few people would bother doing or be able to do, and costs 50 points to sponsor. It's the one thing people never want among the items you can sponsor. And the bottles o' enchanting, which can only be used on a fraction of the maps? It's a waste of points to sponsor on those maps without enchanting tables! Why not change it to a different item?

A few months ago, when we changed the sponsor items from the over powered potions to the items we have now, there was a poll where we could vote for the items we thought we should be able to sponsor. The top 9 voted items were picked, and those are the items we have now. But what about the items that we couldn't vote for, and people think may have been better sponsor items? Like the crafting table, as suggested by Damoisawesome?

I think the community needs to be able to offer up their own ideas for what should be sponsored. I've had a few ideas that could be great sponsor items, while not being completely useless or only occasionally useful and still not being over powered.

Here are the suggestions that could be good sponsor items:

Crafting table. This would be an OP item if you could repetitively place it, take it down and bring it with you everywhere. But what if you could only place it once when you need it, and you wouldn't be able to take it down after that? That would make the crafting table a useful item to have sponsored, but not quite over powered. You can also use it to trap people, but I don't think that will be much of a game changer since it will rarely be used for such a purpose, and if it becomes too crazy it could be against the rules.

Enchantment table. Following the same rules as the Crafting table, this could give the bottles o' enchanting a good use and you could even do it anywhere.

Cobweb. This is probably more deadly than Flint and Steel. If you get someone stuck in one of these, they are stuck for a while and you are free to hit them and strafe around them so that they can barely hit you.

Shears or vines (and either way, make vines place-able). This way you can get out of those traps without using the enderpearl which depends a bit on chance. I think this could really be helpful, and doesn't really have any cons.

Sticks. As you should all know by now, sticks have become far less common in chests. It was suggested by Billa and Gustav Mahikano in their thread, and I thought I should at it here. Instead of making sticks more common, which I think would be bad, why not make them a sponsor item? This keeps the need to make harder decisions, such as whether to make a stronger sword (or axe if you're a bacca) or if you want to make arrows instead. It adds a touch more of Survival thought and strategy to the Survival Games.

I had other ideas, but I forget what they were so I will add them later. Feel free to suggest your own! And I understand that the developers have other things to do, but this is just an idea for whenever they have time.

To go off of the crafting table idea why not add enchantment tables? With the same "You can place them down only once" it would work and give there a reason to have the enchantment bottles on maps with no enchantment tables easily accesible.

Erm... How does a cobweb sound?

I like both of those ideas :) Will add them to the list.

I just got another idea. Not sure if it is good, just had it *poof* in my mind. The thing is that we readd potions (I always liked them), but first, make them expensive as bananas (thinking of 500-800 points), and second, add some way to counter them. I'm not sure exactly how to do that, maybe let the effect be only 30 seconds...
Just got another idea lol: What about a throwable milk bucket :) Or another item that takes the effect of people.

I think adding all the potions back would still be too over powered. The person that gets a good potion can win the game, as we learned. Maybe if we added some of the non over-powered potions like poison, which has the same effect as fire but slightly longer, or healing or regeneration. And throwable milk buckets would be weird :p

We need a weapon as a sponsor item but not an op one. Maybe a wood axe or sword.
