You appear to be able to track the amount of kills, players, etc. So why not track the amount of times each map is played, and make a map that's played more often less likely to show up in the list? And maybe shorten the amount of skips to 1. It is nice to play on something other than SG4 or Breeze Island.

There's a reason that Breeze and SG4 are most often played, since more people want to see those two than skylands and mcsg ruins as votes

MCSG Ruins was removed, and Skylands is a good map.

You get my point.
Yes, but people fail to realise that all the maps are good, and it's extremely irritating to see great maps going unnoticed. I have only played Survival Kingdom once, because SG4 or Breeze are in nearly every voting list, and when they are not, people skip to get one of them.

It would just be nice to see some variety for once, and people could even find a new map they like or are good at. New players play their first games on SG4 and Breeze, and that's all they continue to play on because they're used to it.

That's a good point, but like, for me, I've playedb all maps and I know almost everything about all maps, and my favorites are Breeze, Solar Frost, Fortress Pyke and SG4, and its not uncommon to think similar as I do, it's a popular choice.

But you're right, it did take me a few games to discover and enjoy Solar Frost and Fortress Pyke, but I got there and now I love them :3

Exactly. :p

A point I argued a long time ago - part of the reason nobody votes for anything but Breeze/SG 4 is because that's all they've played - they're used to it. By voting for it and playing it again, it will stay that way - by forcing them to play something else once in a while, they might find something else they may like more and we'll start seeing more variety and people will be happier since they found a map they enjoy even more. It can't do much of any harm.

Unfortunately, the servers are not easily capable of tracking which maps have been played many times before - when the servers restart, they do a complete restart. It wipes all information and every little thing that happened last time it was up and starts completely fresh. It's simply not that easy.

A way to make this happen, but no one would ever like this idea but still, a way to make sure this happened, were if there werent votes, and it was just random all the time. Just join the game, wait 5 minutes, and a random map is played, no one will like this system, but it could work if that was the goal :3

That would be great, but unfortunately, people don't like change. Especially when it's usually for the better.

Well, people should still have a choice in which map is chosen. Having it be completely random will make those maps that are truly "bad" get picked as well, even when almost nobody likes them. Take MCSG ruins for example...it was almost never picked, but if it were simply random, you'd get it every now and then, an people would hate it. They should at least have a say in what they do and don't want picked out of the four until the "bad" map is removed.

Pretty much what I'm saying is that while people shouldn't always get to play their favorite map and actually try the others, they shouldn't have to play the "bad" maps either.

The way to solve bad maps being on the servers is by having us choose the maps ourselves. MCSG Ruins, Overgrown and Breeze were the only ones added that the community didn't have any input on, and while 1 of them is loved, 2 of them were removed because people hated them (even if I liked Overgrown myself ;) )

None of the maps we have right now are bad. None of them. It's extremely irritating to see excellently-made maps being literally abused by players because they're bad at them, due to lack of experience. In a single day, I saw people saying that they hated Survival Games 2, Solar Frost, Hungry Hills and Survival Kingdom, and that they were all terrible maps. When asked why, they barely gave an answer at all.

Yeah I know, but when the hate has been built up for these "truly bad" maps, then they would be removed because too many were complaining, like MCSG ruins. And also, if we remove the skip option then more variety would occur, and more maps to be chosen.

On a half unrelated note, the only reason why I believe SG4 is so loved, is because it had 50% chance of getting played, since there were always two votes, and SG4 was always one of them, while any other map, had(I think there were like 8 maps or something) had 1/16 chance of getting played, so SG4 got almost played all the time. So everyone got used to this map, and learning it and learning the chests, so conclusion ... #BlameChad<3
