Try leaving it for a period of time, then return?

From what I've constructed, the anti-malware scan might have blocked the port (10106) that is used to open minecraft. I don't know how to unblock the port, but I hope this helps a little bit.

I've come across this issue once before, in a similar scenario; a malware software seemed to be blocking a port which Minecraft required to start up. The process I under took to try and fix this was to:

1. Download: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
2. Fully scan your computer, once you are done with that, try opening up Minecraft again.

I hope this helped :)

Additionally, if what rang_shah_18 said did not help, you could try allowing the port in your firewall settings. If the anti-malware software blocked the port, this should unblock it and allow you to connect again. To do this (if you're on Windows), go to Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Advanced Settings. You do need administrator privileges for this, by the way. Next, click on Inbound Rules, and select New Rule. Choose "Port" from the list that appears, and hit next. Leave the default option for the first one (should be TCP), and select "Specific local ports". Put in the port (10106), and hit next. Allow the connection, and leave all of the options on the next page checked. Finally, pick a name for the rule (preferably something that will remind you what it is, but it can be anything), and add a description (optional).

If you're on Mac, it will obviously be something different, and for that you'll have to do some google searching.
